Configuration manual

Installation & Activation

1. Download the extension from the Shopware Store.

2. Navigate to Extensions > My Extensions > Manufacturer Follow & Notifications | natif development

3. Install and activate the extension

4. Activate the extension for each Sales Channel through configuration settings.

Mailer Configuration (Required for Email Notifications)

Before email notifications can be sent, the Shopware Mailer must be configured.

Navigate to Settings > System > Mailer configuration
Configure your mail transport method (SMTP recommended).
Enter the required SMTP credentials: Host, Port, Encryption, Username, Password.
Save the configuration.

⚠️ Without a properly configured Mailer, manufacturer notification emails cannot be delivered.

Extension Configuration

Navigate to Extensions > My Extensions > Manufacturer Follow & Notifications | natif development > Configure
Fill in the required fields: Sender Name and Sender Email address
Configure optional settings: Enable or disable asynchronous email sending and Enable or disable diagnostic logging.
Ensure the plugin is enabled for the desired Sales Channel.
Save the configuration.
Clear the cache if storefront changes are not immediately visible.

Customer Subscription Requirement (Important)

For customers to receive email notifications:

The customer must log in to their account.
Navigate to the “Your Manufacturers” page.
Follow at least one manufacturer.
Explicitly enable the email subscription option on the “Your Manufacturers” page.

⚠️ If the customer follows manufacturers but does not enable email subscription, no notification emails will be sent.

Customers can unsubscribe at any time from their account page.

Troubleshooting

If emails are not being sent:

Verify Mailer configuration under Settings > System > Mailer configuration
Send a test email to confirm mail delivery works
Ensure Sender Name and Sender Email are configured
Confirm the extension is enabled for the correct Sales Channel
If async mode is enabled, ensure the Messenger worker is running
Confirm the customer has enabled email subscription on the “Your Manufacturers” page
Check the spam folder and SMTP provider restrictions
