About the Extension

With the area and quantity calculator, your customers can easily calculate the quantity they need and simply add it to the shopping cart. Graduated prices are supported.

Examples of use

A) You sell wall paint. In the article details in the Shopware backend, you store the unit of measure (liter), the content and the basic unit of the offered article in the Shopware basic price calculation. The customer knows how much paint (in liters) he needs for his area and can enter the corresponding amount of liters. The plugin then automatically calculates the amount of the article required.

B) You sell wallpaper by the meter. With our plugin you can enable customers to calculate an area (A * B) or enter an area and the required number of items is preselected and can be placed directly in the shopping cart by the customer.

Configuration

After installing the plugin, you have to activate the additional fields for products.
Settings> System> Additional fields> Area and quantity calculation
Translations for the backend can also be adapted here if you prefer a language other than German or English.
Activate the use for products.
In the product configuration you can activate the calculation and make further settings under the tab "Area and quantity calculation".

Note: The unit for the calculation must first be created in the measurement units in Shopware. The corresponding abbreviations must then be stored in the product configuration.
