Accessory Suggestions - Cross-selling in the cart

About the Extension

The best moment for accessories is the purchase itself. When a customer adds a product to the cart, this plugin opens a suggestion instead of the usual cart: "Perfect match" – showing the accessory you assigned to the product. One click, and the accessory is in the cart as well. This raises the cart value at the exact moment the buying decision has already been made.

What the plugin does

• When a product is added to the cart, a suggestion panel opens with the matching accessory product including image and price
• The customer decides: add the accessory right away, view its details or continue to the cart without it
• Added accessories appear indented below their main product in the cart and throughout checkout – the relation stays visible
• If the customer removes the main product, the linked accessory is removed automatically
• If the main product gets deactivated or sold out in the meantime, the plugin cleans the linked accessory out of the cart on its own and informs the customer
• Products without an assigned accessory behave exactly like the standard – no detour, no changed behaviour

Management in the admin

• Assign the accessory right on the product: in the specifications tab you pick one accessory product per product
• The selection automatically excludes the product itself and its variants
• Changes take effect the moment the product is saved – no separate module, no extra maintenance
• Editing follows the Shopware permission system (product editor privilege)

Who it is for

Shops with products that have that one obvious accessory: the case for the device, the care product for the shoe, the battery for the power tool. The plugin deliberately focuses on one suggestion per product – clear, unobtrusive and right at the decisive moment.

Good to know

• Respects the shop setting "Show cart after adding an item": if it is disabled, the shop behaves like the standard
• Accessories with tier prices are suggested with a link to the product page instead of a direct buy button
• Bilingual in German and English, texts adjustable via the snippet system
• Compatible with themes that keep the standard blocks of the buy box and the cart
