Move Shopping Experiences between shops without rebuilding them

You have polished a Shopping Experience on staging and want to bring it to the live shop? Or reuse a proven layout from one project in the next? This extension exports one or more layouts as a package that you can install in any other Shopware 6 instance. All images are included in the package.

Export with everything that belongs to it

Export one or more layouts straight from the Shopping Experiences overview
All referenced images are stored in the package as real files, not just as references
Linked products, categories and product streams are described with business keys such as the product number, so they can be matched in the target shop
Optionally resolve by internal IDs, which is ideal for staging and live systems sharing the same data

Before anything is written, a preview shows all conflicts and missing links
If a layout already exists you decide: create as duplicate, overwrite or skip
For every image you choose: import as new, use the existing media, overwrite or leave out. One click applies your choice to all files

Installation

Install and activate the extension.
Done — no configuration required.

Export

Open Content > Shopping Experiences.
Click Export in the top bar or Export layout in a layout's context menu.
Select the layouts and the reference resolution (business key or internal ID) and download the package.

Import

In the target shop open Content > Shopping Experiences and click Import.
Upload the package and check the preview: conflicts, media decisions and missing links.
Make your choices and start the import. Afterwards the layout can be edited like any other.

Conflict options per layout

Create as duplicate: creates a copy with new IDs, the existing layout stays untouched.
Overwrite existing: replaces the content of the existing layout (category assignments are kept). Locked layouts cannot be overwritten.
Do not import: skips the layout entirely.

Media options per file

Import as new file: creates the image; on a file name collision it is renamed automatically.
Use existing media: links the media found in the target shop (same ID or identical file content).
Overwrite: replaces the file of the existing media with the one from the package.
Do not import: the affected field stays empty.
Apply to all sets one choice for every file; individual rows can still be changed afterwards.

Notices in the preview

Missing products, categories or streams are listed (MISSING). The layout still arrives, the fields stay empty.
Element types coming from themes or other extensions that are missing in the target shop are named. The content is preserved and becomes visible once the extension is installed.
Languages in the package that do not exist in the target shop are reported and skipped.

Console (optional, for pipelines)

Export: bin/console okuehne:cms:export ... --file=layout.okcms.zip --key-mode=business-key|id

Import: bin/console okuehne:cms:import layout.okcms.zip --on-conflict=abort|duplicate|overwrite --media=auto|new|skip

Use --dry-run for a preview without any changes. Multiple layout IDs create a multi-layout package.

Import log

Every import is logged (user, layout, conflict mode, result). The log is stored in the okuehne_cms_import_log table for traceability.

Permissions

Under Settings > Users & permissions export and import can be granted to roles separately.

Are products and categories imported as well?

No, that is intentional. Linked content is matched in the target shop via business keys such as the product number. If something is missing, the affected field stays empty and can be filled afterwards.

What happens to the images?

All referenced images travel inside the package as files. On import you decide per image: create new, use the existing media, overwrite or leave out. Identical files are detected automatically.

What about elements coming from themes or other extensions?

The content arrives completely in the target shop and is preserved. If the matching extension is not installed there, the import preview points this out. The elements become visible and editable as soon as the extension is installed.

Does the transfer work between different Shopware versions?

The import checks the source version and warns about mismatches without blocking (best effort). Transferring between shops on the same Shopware minor version is recommended.

Can I automate the import?

Yes, there are console commands for export and import including dry-run, conflict and media strategy. Ideal for deployment pipelines from staging to live.
