Installation

Upload the plugin ZIP file via Extensions > My Extensions > Upload Extension in your Shopware Administration
Install and activate the plugin
Clear the cache via Settings > System > Caches & Indexes

That's it — two default CMS layouts (list + detail) and a root lexicon entry are created automatically. Your glossary is live at /lexicon.

Quick Start: Your First Glossary Entry

Navigate to Catalogues > Lexicon in the administration sidebar
Click the + button in the tree navigation to add a new entry
Enter the term name (e.g., "OEKO-TEX Standard 100")
Write a description using the rich text editor — add images, links, tables, and formatted text
Optionally fill in SEO fields: meta title, meta description, and keywords
Save — an SEO-friendly URL is generated automatically
Visit your storefront to see the entry in the alphabetical list and its dedicated detail page

CSV Bulk Import

Go to Catalogues > Lexicon > Import (tab in the administration)
Prepare your CSV file with semicolon (;) as separator
Required column: name. Optional: description, meta_title, meta_description, keywords, active
Upload the file and confirm the import

CMS Layout Customization

The plugin installs two professional default CMS layouts. To customize or create your own:

Go to Content > Shopping Experiences
Filter by page type Lexicon
Edit existing layouts or create a new one using these dedicated blocks:
- Lexicon Content — Term header + description
- Lexicon Alphabetical List — A-Z index with letter navigation and search
- Lexicon Navigation — Sidebar tree with offcanvas mobile support
- Lexicon Pool — Tag cloud / pill-style term list
Assign your custom layout to individual lexicon entries or set it as the default in plugin settings

SEO URL Configuration

The default URL pattern is lexicon/{{ lexicon.translated.name|lower }}.

To customize: go to Settings > SEO > URL Templates and find the Lexicon detail page entry. SEO URLs are automatically regenerated when you save or update lexicon entries.

Product Tooltips

Tooltips on product detail pages work automatically — no configuration needed. The plugin matches product property values against your lexicon entry names (case-insensitive) and wraps matches with interactive tooltip popups. The more lexicon entries you create, the richer your product pages become.

Can I import my existing glossary?

Yes! Use the CSV import in the administration to import hundreds of terms at once. Supported columns: name, description, meta title, meta description, keywords, and active status. The separator is semicolon (;).

Are tooltips automatically displayed on all product pages?

How many languages are supported?

27 European languages with full translation support: Bulgarian, Bosnian, Czech, Danish, German, Greek, English (GB + US), Spanish, Finnish, French, Croatian, Hungarian, Italian, Latvian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Serbian, Swedish, Turkish, and Ukrainian.

Can I customize the glossary page layout?

Absolutely! The plugin provides 4 CMS blocks and 5 elements that you can freely combine in Shopware's Page Builder via drag & drop. Additionally, two professional default layouts (list + detail) are automatically created on installation.

Does the plugin affect my shop's loading speed?

No. Tooltips are rendered server-side, the live search works client-side without API calls, and the Schema.org markup is injected as lightweight JSON-LD in the head section.

What happens to my glossary data when I uninstall the plugin?

During uninstall, you can choose to keep your data. If "Keep user data" is enabled, all glossary entries, translations, SEO URLs, and CMS layouts are preserved. You can safely deactivate and reactivate the plugin without losing any content.
