Standalone products look like variants, yet stay independent

Onlineschmiede Linked Options presents standalone products like variants on the product detail page, even though they keep their own stock, URL and maintenance. The link uses existing Shopware properties and options, so the storefront selection feels compact and familiar in the style of the standard configurator.

Why this plugin?

Separate data, unified appearance: products with their own stock or SEO URL still look like variants.
Familiar operation: customers pick colour, size or other options like in the standard configurator.
Without a variant structure: no switch to real variants required, existing products are simply connected.
Maintained on the product: everything in the “product connections" tab, without a separate module.

Link & present

Maintained directly on the product in the “product connections" tab with a searchable product picker; variant options are shown in the picker and overview.
Multiple property groups per product, with exactly one option per group and linked product.
Mutual connections: A knows B and C, B knows A and C, without duplicate maintenance.
Storefront output with several groups in the style of the standard configurator; a click leads straight to the linked product.

Handling non-purchasable products

Non-purchasable linked products can be hidden, greyed out or shown greyed out with a strikethrough. A “product links" overview under Catalogues shows all existing connections at a glance.

Pseudo Variant Profiles: Variant sets can now be created and managed centrally through profiles. Products and property combinations can be organized in a clear matrix.
Combine Variants in Product Listings: Related products can be grouped like native Shopware variants in category listings, search results, search suggestions, product sliders and cross-selling sections.
Flexible Main Product Selection: Choose which product represents a variant set based on stock availability, sales figures, price, product name or other selection criteria.
Variant Properties in Orders: Properties such as size or color can now be treated like regular variant characteristics and displayed in the cart, checkout, orders, invoices and order emails.
