About the Extension

Fully automatic product recommendations

Instead of tediously maintaining cross-selling by hand, Onlineschmiede Auto Cross-Selling determines matching products automatically, per context and strategy. Four logics cover category proximity, property similarity, the personal viewing history and real co-purchases. The output uses Shopware's standard sliders and product boxes and therefore blends consistently into existing themes.

Four automatic cross-selling logics

Same category: products from the categories of the context product.
Same properties: products with matching properties, optionally limited to certain property groups, ranked by the number of shared properties.
Recently viewed: recommendations from the session or customer history.
Customers also bought: real co-purchases from orders containing the context product, with time window, order limit and frequency ranking.

Placements and off-canvas split

Product detail page: in the standard cross-selling area, as tabs or as individual sections with a heading.
Cart and off-canvas: additional sliders; per type you choose the cart area or a side panel.
Split view (desktop): two clearly separated zones for cart and cross-selling with a shared header; the side panel sits globally left or right.
Mobile: no split, the familiar single-column off-canvas.

Fine control per type

Sorting by name, creation date, price, release date or random.
Limits per type (default 10 products) and a minimum product-box width on desktop.
Exclusions: products, categories and dynamic product groups; variant families are respected.
Variants expanded or collapsed to one variant per product family.

Recommendations from the same category have been corrected. Previously, parent categories could cause almost every product in the sales channel to be recommended. The plugin now considers only products from the directly assigned category and its subcategories.

The currently viewed product is no longer recommended. Products already used in another recommendation group are also reliably excluded without reducing the configured number of recommendations.

Recommendation group headlines are now translated correctly. Instead of using hard-coded German labels, the plugin now displays the appropriate storefront translations.

Matching Properties: New cross-selling type based on shared product properties. Supports configurable property groups, scoring by number of matches, and exclusion of similar product families.
Sorting: Individual sorting per cross-selling type by name, creation date, price, release date, or random order.
Product Detail Page (Slider): Configurable minimum product box width for desktop devices (default: 250 px).
Offcanvas Split Layout (Desktop): Two-column offcanvas layout when a cross-selling type uses the side panel area. Separate sections for cart and recommendations.
Offcanvas Zone per Type: Choose for each cross-selling type whether recommendations are displayed inside the cart area or in a dedicated side panel.
Global Offcanvas Settings: New offcanvas configuration with selectable side panel position (left/right, default: left).
