Model rentals cleanly in Shopware
Onlineschmiede Reservation System extends Shopware with fully integrated reservation logic for rentable products. Instead of confusing custom-field workarounds, the plugin uses its own clean data structure and connects product configuration, cart validation and order processing in a consistent flow.
Why this plugin?
- Rent like you sell: rentable items run on normal Shopware products, without fragile workarounds.
- No double bookings: overlapping periods are detected and prevented automatically.
- Correct billing: prices derive dynamically from rental duration and quantity, deposits are communicated clearly.
- Traceable lifecycle: reservations run through reserved, picked up, returned or cancelled.
Availability & booking
- Product configuration with availability logic per item: date range, allowed weekdays and time from/to, plus a deposit.
- Storefront: mandatory fields for start and end (date and time) in the buy widget; an invalid time slot blocks the purchase with a note.
- Cart validation & conflict detection: checks against date range, weekdays, times and existing reservations, also within the current cart.
Prices, status & communication
- Day-based prices: line price as product price × rental days × quantity.
- Status workflow: reserved, picked up, returned (stock is increased again) and cancelled.
- End-to-end communication: a mandatory checkbox for the reservation and deposit note, deposit display in cart, confirmation and PDF, plus mail templates for customer and shop operator.
- Rule Builder: rule “cart contains a reservation product".
Administration
- Dedicated menu items for active reservation products and reservation entries including status management.
- Manual reservation with optional order creation: form and price preview as separate cards; the preview uses the same cart flow as the order and shows net, tax, gross, shipping and subtotal. Returned errors appear translated with a concrete hint.
- Reservation detail two-column when an order is linked: master data and status on the left, order with prices on the right, history below.
