Time delays for your automations in the Shopware Flow Builder
The Flow Builder in Shopware is powerful, but it runs its actions immediately. In practice you often want to wait before the next step happens. A review request should go out a few days after shipping, a reminder only later, a thank-you not in the same second as the order confirmation. This plugin adds a delay action to the Shopware 6 Flow Builder so you can build exactly these pauses. The flow runs normally up to the delay, waits the configured time and then continues automatically. Compatible with Shopware 6.6 and 6.7.
How the delay works
You add the Delay action at the desired point in your flow and set the waiting time. All actions before the delay run immediately, all actions after it only run once the waiting time has elapsed. You can place several steps behind a delay, so an entire section of your flow runs time-shifted. A scheduled task handles the actual execution in the background, without you having to trigger anything manually.
Flexible time units
- Minutes, hours or days. Choose the unit that fits the use case, from a few minutes to several days.
- Skip weekends. If you like, Saturdays and Sundays do not count. For delays in days only business days are counted, and for minutes or hours a moment that falls on a weekend is moved to the following Monday.
Typical use cases
- Send a review request a few days after shipping.
- Send a payment reminder or follow-up e-mail time-shifted.
- Deliver a thank-you or a discount deliberately later instead of right after the purchase.
- Trigger internal notifications or status changes with a delay.
Cleanly integrated into the Flow Builder
The delay is a normal flow action and can be combined with any trigger and any other action. You keep working in the familiar interface and do not have to maintain external logic. Flows without a delay stay completely untouched and run as before.
