About the Extension
The "Compare articles directly on the detail page" plugin enables your customers to conveniently compare products – directly on the product detail page, without having to select articles beforehand. The plugin leverages Shopware's native cross-selling functionality: assign product lists or dynamic product groups, and the comparison automatically appears on the detail page.
How it works
In the cross-selling tab of a product, click "Add compare cross-selling" to create a dedicated cross-selling for the comparison. In it, you select individual products or assign a dynamic product group. If no compare cross-selling is active, the products of the category can optionally be used as comparison products. The comparison is presented in a clear table – featuring image, name, link, rating, description, price and all product properties.
Flexible display options
You decide where the comparison is shown: as a tab in the cross-selling section below the product description or as a separate tab next to description and reviews. Product images and product names can optionally be linked to the respective product page – and links can open in a new tab. On smartphones, the comparison can be swiped. The plugin is compatible with Shopping Experiences, so the comparison also works on individually designed product pages.
Extensive configuration
Via the plugin configuration, individual comparison fields such as image, name, link, rating, description or price can be hidden – globally or per sales channel. Additionally, specific property groups can be hidden for all products. For even more control, a custom field per product allows you to exclude individual properties from the comparison. You can also compare the main variant or the cheapest variant of a product instead of individual variants.
