About the Extension

The EU-GARAN | Legal notice & commercial guarantee label plugin helps Shopware merchants comply with the mandatory labeling requirements of EU Regulation (EU) 2025/1960, effective September 27, 2026.

The plugin enables the legally required warranty and guarantee labels to be displayed throughout the storefront. Labels can be managed either globally by manufacturer or individually for each product. Extensive configuration options allow you to customize the position, layout, and colors, ensuring seamless integration with your shop design.

The plugin includes the official EU label graphics in all EU languages and is ready to use out of the box. No coding or template customization is required.

After installing and activating the plugin, you can configure how the two labels are displayed for each sales channel.

Warranty Label Configuration

The warranty label is displayed in a modal. You can configure where it is available and which elements customers can use to open it.

Display in the Footer

The warranty label can be integrated in the footer, making it accessible from every page.

The following settings are available:

Display as link or button
Link or button color
Displayed text

Display on the Product Detail Page

The warranty label can also be added to every product detail page.

It can be displayed as a link or button in one of the following positions:

Below the product description
Below the product number
In a separate tab next to the product description

The color and text can also be configured.

Aside from that, you can choose whether the modal contains a link for downloading the associated file.

EU-GARAN Label Configuration

For displaying the EU-GARAN label, different positions and display formats are available.

Display on the Product Detail Page

As label or label preview below the product description
As label or label preview below the product number
As label in its own tab next to the description

If both EU-GARAN label and warranty label should be displayed as their own tab, they will be combined into one tab.

For the EU-GARAN label, you can also set a maximum width, to adapt it to your selected storefront layout.

The following places can have their own label preview:

Display in listing: at the bottom of the product card
Display in offcanvas cart: between product details and quantity selector
Display in cart: at the bottom of each line item

Clicking the label preview opens a modal with the complete label.

Adding Label Information to Manufacturer and Products

If a manufacturer in your shop has a general warranty period or if you only offer products of this manufacturer with the same warranty period, you have the option to add it to the manufacturer. In your administration, navigate to Catalogues > Manufacturers and choose one. Under the section Custom fields select the tab “Guarantee duration (years)”. Now you can enter the warranty length in years.

To enter a warranty period for a product, open the relevant product in the administration under Catalogues > Products. Then open the Specifications tab. In the Custom fields section, select the “Legal notice & EU-GARAN Label” tab.

Here, you can enter an individual warranty period in years for each product. For half years, use decimal values in increments of 0.5, for example 3.5 years.

The warranty period entered here is used to display the guarantee label in accordance with Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960.

You can also choose to hide the general legal warranty label on the detail page of this product. This setting is relevant if the legal warranty label has been enabled for all products in the plugin configuration.
