About the Extension
Recently Viewed Products helps customers return to products they have already shown interest in, even in future login sessions. This keeps relevant products visible after customers come back to your shop and helps them continue their purchase journey more easily.
For logged-in customers, recently viewed products can be stored and synchronized across sessions and devices. This is the key difference compared to simple local browser history solutions: customers can still find products they viewed earlier after logging in again.
The extension can be used in multiple areas of the storefront: as a Shopping Experiences CMS element, inside search suggestions, on checkout pages, in the customer account area and, starting with version 3.0.0, below the product detail tabs when using Shopware's default product detail page layout.
Guest visitors can use localStorage-based storage. By default, the extension is cookie-consent aware. Version 3.0.0 also adds an optional setting to run without prior cookie consent for stores and markets where this is legally permitted. All data is processed in your own Shopware environment.
