About the Extension

Guest checkouts can leave many customer records with duplicate email addresses in the administration. Automatically clean up guest accounts keeps this data under control without requiring repetitive manual work.

The extension uses Shopware's existing guest-account expiry setting and checks eligible records every hour. Merchants can preview the number of affected accounts with a dry run, delete directly from the CLI, or queue safe batches for the Messenger worker.

For extra control, cleanup on logout and cleanup of guests linked to orders can be configured separately. Cleanup of order-linked guests is enabled by default because guest accounts have no password and cannot be used for a later login. Orders and the customer snapshots stored with them are never deleted. Merchants can disable this option when their retention policy requires the customer link to remain.

Shopware 6.7 already provides a daily cleanup for unused guests without orders. This extension is designed for merchants who need more control: hourly execution, logout cleanup, dry-run reporting, asynchronous batches, and an explicit policy for guest accounts connected to orders.

Operational requirement: Shopware's scheduled-task runner and Messenger worker must be running. The documentation includes commands and troubleshooting steps.

I don't know why this plugin doesn't work with you. I don't know why it didn't work for you while it worked for everyone. Please check the configuration of your scheduled tasks in your shop first. You can also send a support ticket so I can support you. In addition, this is a free plugin, so the 1-star rating without support is challenging for people to choose to use comfortably.

Does deleting guest accounts damage order data?

Deleting guest accounts does not remove the associated orders. The orders are still available.

Does the extension delete orders?

No. Orders and the customer snapshots stored with them remain available in the administration.

Why does the cleanup not run exactly every hour?

The one-hour interval marks the task as due. Your hosting environment must continuously run Shopware's scheduled-task runner and Messenger worker.

Can I see what will happen before deleting data?

Yes. Run bin/console s50lution:clean-up-guest --dry-run to count eligible accounts without deleting anything.

Can a queued job delete a customer who registered in the meantime?

No. Version 3.1.0 rechecks the current guest status and retention rules immediately before deletion

What happens to guests who have placed an order?

They are cleaned up by default. The order and its customer snapshot remain, while the link to the deleted guest account is removed. You can disable this behavior in the extension configuration.
