Functionality
The plugin improves the shipping cost calculator on the cart page and adds a few highlights for form errors occurring from using blocked shipping methods.
Those errors can occur when there are shipping method which are not usable in all shipping countries.
The default way of Shopware6 to notify the customer is to show a small alert on the top of the page, which is completely dispatched from the originating form. This plugin offers a more direct approach to notify customers of blocked shipping methods in showing the errors directly at the corresponding forms.
Following form error notifications can be used:
- Colorized highlights of form fields for shipping method selection
- Small icon next to the form fields
- Suffix for options inside a select box or radio button labels
All of this notifications can be turned on and off inside the plugin configuration
Furthermore this plugin allows to add a shipping country field directly inside the offcanvas cart for unregistered customers. So they can easily check the shipping cost for their country all inside the offcanvas cart. The aforementioned error notifications will be used inside the offcanvas cart as well.
On the checkout/confirm page those error notifications will be used as well to help the customer pin point the error when a blocked shipping method is preventing him from finalizing the order.
