Install & configure the ShipStation-Shopware plugin

Log in to your Shopware backend as an admin user.
Click Extensions, then Store.
Search for the "ShipStation" plugin, then install the plugin for Shopware version 6.
After the plugin has been installed and activated, open the Extensions section and go to the ShipStation tab.
Scroll to the bottom and select Start a Free Trial. From that link you can create a new ShipStation account or log in with your existing credentials.

Create a new Shopware user (Recommended)

In the Shopware backend, click Settings, then System, and finally Users & permissions.
Click Create new user
Create a new Shopware user which will be used just for ShipStation. This new user must have administrator privileges turned on.
Click Save.
While still on this screen, click "Create access key". Save the access key ID and secure access key somewhere safe. You'll need it to connect to ShipStation in the next step.
Click Save integration
Then click Save in the top right of the new user to persist the changes.

NOTE: This step is optional, but recommended in order to better track the actions taken by ShipStation in your Shopware backend logs. If you choose to skip this step, you'll need to gather the Username and API Key for an existing user with admin privileges so you can connect Shopware with ShipStation.

Connect the Shopware Account to ShipStation

In a new tab or browser window, log in to your ShipStation account.
Go to your Account Settings (the gear icon in the upper right).
Select Selling Channels and then Store Setup from the left-hand sidebar.
On the new page, click Connect a Store.
Type Shopware into the search bar. The Shopware icon will appear.
Fill out the connection details with the API URL, as well as the access key ID and secure access key from the previous step. Your API URL will be the location of your Shopware install, with the path /api appended to the end. For example, if your shop is accessible at https://SallysSweetSodas.com/shop/public, then your API URL will be https://SallysSweetSodas.com/shop/public/api.
Click Connect. A new ShipStation store will be created.
Your orders will automatically start importing. The first time this runs it may take a few minutes.
