Nobody searches for "500g pasta, article number 4711". They search for what they want to cook this evening. Recipes gives your Shopware shop the content those people actually look for, and puts your products inside it.
A recipe is a shopping list you wrote
Every ingredient is an argument for a product you sell. A visitor arriving for the recipe leaves with a basket, because the things they need are already in front of them rather than something they have to go and find.
Structured, not a wall of text
Ingredients, quantities and units, preparation steps, preparation and cooking time, difficulty, portions and nutritional values each have their own field. That keeps recipes consistent to maintain and lets the storefront present them properly, including a portion calculator that recalculates the quantities.
Found by search engines and by your own visitors
Recipes carry Schema.org structured data, their own meta title and description, and clean SEO URLs, and every public URL lands in the sitemap. Images are delivered as correctly sized thumbnails so page speed does not suffer. Inside the shop, recipes can be sorted and filtered by the criteria you choose — breakfast or dinner, sweet or savoury, quick or elaborate — and Elasticsearch or OpenSearch keeps that fast even with a large archive.
Printable PDFs
Customers can download any recipe as a PDF, rendered either with the built-in Dompdf or through Pdfcrowd when you want more control over the layout. A recipe that ends up printed and stuck to a kitchen cupboard keeps your shop's name in the room.
Managed like products, extended like code
Recipes live in the administration alongside your catalogue, with categories, sales channels, languages, custom fields, scheduled publishing and customer reviews. They are available through the REST API for a headless or PWA frontend, and the plugin is written to be extended rather than worked around.
