About the Extension
A Shopware shop that goes down does not tell you. It simply stops earning. Health Check gives your monitoring one URL to watch, so you hear about an outage from an alert instead of from an angry customer.
One status endpoint for your monitoring
The plugin installs a health endpoint at /shop-studio-health-check/health. Point Better Stack, Uptime Kuma, Checkly, Pingdom, Grafana or any other monitoring service at it and you get a clear, machine-readable answer about the state of the shop. Email, Slack or SMS alerts come from the tool you already use, so nothing new has to be introduced into your stack.
More than "the page still loads"
A storefront can answer with 200 OK while the search index is dead and no order is being processed. A plain uptime ping will never notice. Health Check looks at the parts that actually decide whether the shop can sell: the database, Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, and Redis.
Watch the URLs that are not your shop
You can add further HTTP endpoints to the check — a CDN, a second shop domain, a payment provider callback, an ERP interface. If one of them goes quiet, you see it in the same place as everything else, including expiring HTTPS certificates.
Catch a silent queue before your customers do
A stalled message queue is one of the most expensive failures in Shopware precisely because nothing looks broken: the shop is fast, orders come in, and nothing is processed. The heartbeat check reports whether the Messenger consumer and the scheduled tasks are genuinely running, so a stopped worker surfaces within minutes rather than at the end of the day.
Safe to expose
A health endpoint is public by nature. If you would rather not publish your infrastructure status to the world, protect it with Basic Auth and hand the credentials to your monitoring service.
