About the Extension

Prepare SEPA bank transfers with a quick scan

SEPA Payment QR Code makes it easier for customers to pay open orders by bank transfer. Customers scan the generated EPC/GiroCode with a compatible banking app. The beneficiary, IBAN, BIC where required, exact EUR amount and payment reference are transferred automatically and can be reviewed before the payment is authorised.

This avoids the manual entry of long bank details, reduces transfer errors and makes incoming payments easier to assign through a meaningful payment reference.

Available at every important touchpoint

The clearly structured payment block can be displayed at the relevant stages of the order process:

• Order finish page: immediately after the order has been placed
• Customer account: within the details of an unpaid order
• Order confirmation: as a payment block in HTML and plain-text emails
• Invoice: with the invoice and order number in the payment reference
• Additional order emails: optionally in existing emails for unpaid orders, such as payment reminders

The finish page and customer-account display are fully responsive. Important payment details can be copied directly, and the QR code can be downloaded as a PNG file.

Suitable references for orders and invoices

As long as no invoice is available, the plugin uses the order number in the default payment reference. Once an invoice document exists, the invoice and order number can be included automatically.

Separate templates are available for German and non-German orders. Placeholders can be used for the order number, invoice number and customer number. An optional payment term in days can also be displayed.

Flexible configuration for each sales channel

Activation, bank details, payment methods and output locations can be configured globally or separately for each sales channel. This makes it possible to assign different bank accounts or payment methods to individual sales channels.

The integrated preview in the Shopware Administration allows you to check the saved bank details and generated QR code during configuration.

Displayed only for eligible open payments

The QR code is generated only for selected payment methods, EUR orders and eligible open transactions. Paid, partially paid, cancelled, refunded, partially refunded and charged-back transactions are excluded.

The extension is particularly suitable for prepayment, invoice payments made by manual transfer and custom payment methods such as bank transfer. PayPal, credit card, direct debit and comparable provider-based payments should not be selected.

Local generation without an external QR code service

The EPC payment QR code is generated entirely within the Shopware installation. No bank, order or customer data is transmitted to an external QR code service for its generation.

The extension validates the IBAN using the supported country code, country-specific length and checksum. It also handles the BIC requirement for supported SEPA accounts outside the EEA.

Custom email templates remain unchanged

The plugin does not overwrite or modify saved email templates. The payment block is added automatically when an eligible email is sent. For custom positioning, the code snippets provided in the plugin configuration can be used in HTML and plain-text templates.

Note: The extension prepares the SEPA bank transfer. The customer reviews and authorises the payment in their banking app. It does not automatically reconcile incoming payments and does not generate Swiss QR-bills.
