About the Extension

You create customer accounts in the admin – in B2B, after a shop migration or following a trade-fair or sales contact – but your customers have no password and no easy way into their account? With this plugin you create a secure invitation link right on the customer detail page with one click, send it by email and log your customers into the storefront automatically, without entering a password.

This saves you the detour through the "forgot password" flow and gives your customers fast, professional onboarding – optionally followed by setting their own password.

How it works

1. Open a customer in the admin and choose "Generate invitation link" on the customer card.
2. In the dialog, check the sales channel domain and decide whether the customer must set a password after login.
3. Copy the link or send it directly by email.
4. Your customer opens the link, confirms on a welcome page and is signed in right away.

Security and privacy

• Every link contains a cryptographically generated token that is stored only as a hash in the database.
• Each link can be used only once and expires after the configured time.
• Expired and used links are cleaned up automatically.
• Permissions for generating and sending are controlled via the role management.
• No external services are connected – all data stays in your shop.
