Configuration

Navigate to Settings in the Administration panel. Under the Plugins section, you will find Shop Selector.

Step 1: Set Up the Modal

Enable the modal using the Active toggle. Enter a title and optional description that will be shown to your visitors.

Step 2: Add Shop Entries

Click Add Entry to create a new shop option. For each entry, provide a name, select a Sales Channel or enter a custom URL, and optionally upload an image.

Step 3: Configure Translations

Switch languages using the language selector in the top bar. All text fields support Shopware's translation inheritance system.

On which pages does the modal appear?

The modal is displayed exclusively on the storefront homepage. It is not loaded on any other pages (product detail, category, checkout, etc.).

What happens when a visitor selects a shop?

The visitor is redirected to the URL of the chosen shop. Their selection is stored in the browser's localStorage, so the modal will not reappear on the next visit.

Can I use external URLs instead of Sales Channels?

Yes. For each entry, you can either link a Shopware Sales Channel (the domain URL is resolved automatically) or enter any custom external URL – e.g. for shops on a different platform or subdomain.

Are the texts translatable?

Yes. The title, description and all entry names support Shopware's translation system. Simply switch the language using the language selector in the admin panel. Fields that have not been translated automatically inherit from the system language.

Can the visitor close the modal without making a selection?

Yes. The modal can be closed via the close button, clicking the backdrop or pressing the ESC key. In this case, no selection is saved and the modal will reappear on the next homepage visit.
