About the Extension
Preorder
Customer sees preorder purchase options on product detail.
Payment modes
Partial or Full payment: customer chooses
Partial payment: customer pays configured percentage now
Full payment: customer pays full amount now
Customer account
In My preorders, customer can see:
- Product
- Quantity
- Total amount
- Paid amount
- Remaining amount
- Status
Available actions can include:
1. Pay remaining amount
2. Cancel preorder
Back-in-stock notify
When product is out of stock and feature is enabled, button is shown "Notify me when available"
Subscription modal fields:
- Full name (required)
- Email (required)
- Phone (optional)
- Newsletter checkbox (optional)
After submit
1. Request is saved
2. Duplicate open request is prevented
3. When stock is back, email is sent asynchronously
4. Subscribed state
If customer already has open request for same product:
1. Button shows subscribed label
2. Button is disabled
Price-drop notify
When feature is enabled, button is shown: "Notify me when price drops"
Subscription modal fields
1. Full name (required)
2. Email (required)
3. Phone (optional)
4. Target price (optional)
Target price logic
1. If target price is set email is sent only when current price is less than or equal to target price.
2. If target price is not set:
- Email is sent on any real price drop.
- Subscribed state
If customer already has open request for same product:
1. Button shows subscribed label
2. Button is disabled
Listing options
Each button has separate listing visibility option (default hidden):
1. Show preorder button in listing
2. Show stock notify button in listing
3. Show price-drop button in listing
4. Hide add to cart button when no stock
Behavior:
If enabled, and stock-notify button is shown for out-of-stock product in listing, the default Add to cart action is hidden on that product card.
