Contentful – CMS Integration for Shopware
Connect your Shopware store with Contentful and keep editorial content, landing pages, media and product references up to date.
The integration uses the Contentful Content Delivery API, the GraphQL Content API and the Content Preview API and connects to Shopware via the Shopware APIs. Depending on your project, content is rendered in the Shopware Storefront or in a headless frontend.
Editorial content and media from Contentful
Your content team creates landing pages, campaign content, stories and media in Contentful. The content is delivered to your Shopware store via the Contentful APIs and displayed alongside your products.
Content types and fields are mapped to your Shopware pages and layouts depending on your configuration. Content updates can be triggered via Contentful webhooks, which reduces manual publishing effort.
Reference Shopware products and categories in Contentful
Editors can select products and categories from Shopware and reference them in Contentful entries. Product data, prices and inventory stay in Shopware, while Contentful holds the editorial context around them.
This lets you build shoppable content such as product teasers, buying guides or campaign pages, while product data is maintained in one central place.
Multilingual and multi-channel content
Contentful manages content in several locales. The locales can be mapped to your Shopware languages and sales channels depending on your configuration.
The same content can be reused across your Shopware store and further channels such as apps or in-store displays.
Flexible integration architecture
The integration can be set up for the Shopware Storefront or for headless and composable architectures. Unpublished content can be previewed via the Contentful Content Preview API before it goes live, depending on your configuration.
The open, API-based architecture reduces dependency on a single vendor and lets you add further systems such as PIM, DAM or search later.
