About the Extension
You have 4,000 products in your shop. On 1,200 of them the meta description is empty, because nobody ever typed one. You have known this since the last time you ran an SEO tool. What came back was an 87-page PDF, and then the Christmas season started.
The problem
SEO tools deliver reports, not work. The report tells you that 1,200 meta descriptions are missing, and then you type them yourself. On top of that comes a second front nobody had three years ago: more and more customers no longer ask Google, they ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Gemini. Those systems read your shop differently. What counts are structured facts instead of marketing prose, and they only quote what they can understand without guessing.
The solution
The plugin handles both sides in one place. An audit checks 30 rules on two separate axes: SEO for classic search and AI readiness (GEO) for findability in AI answers. Every finding becomes a task with a jump target to the affected record. Meta fields are not filled one by one but from templates across the whole catalogue, first as a dry run, then for real. Where templates are not enough, an AI writes suggestions that you approve or discard.
What's in it for you
You see where you stand in one number. The cockpit shows two scores, the trend across recent runs and the three things that pay off most right now. No report you have to read first.
You fill 1,200 meta descriptions in an afternoon. Templates such as "Buy {{ name }} by {{ manufacturer }} online" apply per record type and per category, inherited down the tree. Eleven ready-made templates for products, categories, landing pages and images ship with the plugin. The dry run shows you the result before anything is written.
The AI costs what you decide. You store your own API key and a daily budget in euros. Once it is used up, the plugin stops calling. Every suggestion goes through an approval list before it reaches your catalogue, unless you deliberately switch that off for a single task.
Broken addresses stop hurting you. The plugin logs every 404 page with a hit count and suggests the closest existing address. One click turns that suggestion into a 301 redirect.
Every sales channel stays separately controlled. Different templates for your B2B shop than for B2C, AI features in one channel only, fact pages only where they belong. Every setting hangs on the channel, not on the installation.
Your IT team gets no surprises. All outbound connections are off by default and sit behind a single switch. Without it, nothing phones home. What the plugin changes in your shop out of the box is listed further down, point by point.
How the plugin works
After installation you find the plugin in the administration under Marketing → AI SEO. A setup assistant walks you through four steps: channel selection, the optional AI connection, the first audit run and a summary. From then on the audit runs on a schedule and writes findings into the to-do list.
In the storefront the plugin handles everything search engines and AI systems read technically: structured data on every storefront page, canonical tags that handle paginated pages correctly, hreflang rules across sales channels, Open Graph and Twitter previews and a sitemap with images, videos and language versions. For products, categories, landing pages and fact pages it delivers a Markdown version, plus an llms-full.txt. For robots.txt there are three ready-made profiles that treat training crawlers and answer crawlers separately. You can therefore opt out of model training and still appear in AI answers. The plugin also counts how many visitors arrive from ChatGPT, Perplexity and the like, and which AI crawlers read your shop.
Fact pages collect what AI systems should know about your shop: short, strictly structured pages with legal entity, founding year, shipping and return facts, plus manufacturer pages. A review interval raises a task when nobody has checked a page for a long time.
Typical use cases
Catalogue import from an ERP. The import delivers products without meta fields. Once you switch on automatic filling, the templates fill them after saving, in the background and in batches, even when an import writes thousands of products at once.
Relaunch with new addresses. You import the old address list as redirect rules, either exact or as a pattern. Whatever slips through lands in the 404 list and gets a suggestion there.
Several countries, several domains. hreflang rules link the language versions of your products and categories across sales channels, even when every language has its own domain. That tells Google which version belongs to which country.
Checking visibility in AI answers. You store a few typical buying questions without your shop name and run them against a language model on a schedule. The evaluation shows whether your shop is named and who gets named instead.
Technical facts for your IT team
Shopware 6.6 from 6.6.10 or Shopware 6.7, PHP 8.2 or newer. From Shopware 6.7.1 the plugin writes the robots.txt profiles into the robots.txt itself; on older versions the administration shows the rules for you to copy over. Shopware delivers the llms.txt itself from 6.7.12.1; the plugin adds the llms-full.txt and checks that both are reachable.
The plugin creates its own tables and does not change the structure of any Shopware table. In your products, categories, landing pages and images it writes only through the Shopware interfaces and only SEO fields: meta title, meta description, keywords, alt text and image title. SEO URLs are only suggested; they apply once you save the record.
Active by default are the storefront outputs: structured data instead of the Shopware microdata, an enriched sitemap, noindex for filtered listing pages, the Markdown version, llms-full.txt, redirects, 404 logging and the counting of AI visitors and AI crawlers. Each of them can be switched off per sales channel. Off by default are AI, fact pages, internal linking, automatic filling on save and every outbound connection: AI providers, Google PageSpeed Insights, Chrome UX Report, Search Console, IndexNow. Without those switches no record leaves your server.
API keys are stored encrypted in the database. The permission system ships twelve dedicated privileges, among them separate ones for starting an audit, generating with AI and managing credentials. Retention periods are set per data type, and a cleanup task honours them. On uninstall the standard Shopware switch decides whether your data stays.
To be honest
Nobody can guarantee you rankings, and we do not either. The plugin takes the repetitive work off your desk and shows you where it hurts. You still have to write, or let an AI write for you, and that costs money per call. For a shop with 30 products and well-maintained meta fields this is far too much machinery. If you run thousands of products, the first audit already shows you where things are stuck. Give it a try, it costs you ten minutes.

6.7.1 6.6.10.0 - 6.7.16.0
- New plugin name in the plugin manager: "AI SEO: SEO Audit and AI Visibility", matching the name in the Shopware Store.
- The help text of the audit axis filter and the AI audit summary now use the same axis name as the cockpit: AI readiness (GEO).
- Audit findings with counts read correctly for any number ("Images without alt text: 1 of 3" instead of "1 of 3 images have no alt text"); the internal linking hint says that the hits column is shown via the column menu.
6.7.0 6.6.10.0 - 6.7.16.0
- Initial release: AI-powered all-in-one SEO and GEO suite for Shopware 6.6 (from 6.6.10) and 6.7. Features that rely on APIs only 6.7 provides (JSON-LD head blocks, page breadcrumb, structured review data) are available on 6.7, the robots.txt entries from 6.7.1.
- SEO cockpit with two score axes (SEO and GEO/AI readiness), channel matrix, impact history, cost widget and the failed Lighthouse checks.
- Meta title, meta description, keywords and image alt texts are written straight into the original Shopware fields. The SEO work area sits in Shopware's own SEO tab of product, category and landing page; below every field you find its explanation, length in characters and pixels, template assignment with origin, AI suggestion and preview.
- Central SEO templates with variables, assigned per field to categories (inherited down the tree) and products. Each record type offers exactly the target fields it has, and a fragment whose variable is empty is left out of the text.
- Templates for the SEO URL of products and categories, inherited down the category tree. The button fills Shopware's URL field with a proposal that applies on saving and warns when the address is already taken. The shipped templates follow Shopware's standard pattern.
- Full JSON-LD catalogue: Product, ProductGroup with variants, Offer, AggregateOffer, shipping details, return policy, Organization, breadcrumbs, item lists, LocalBusiness, video, article, FAQ, site search and page details (publisher and speakable passages).
- Open Graph and X (Twitter) cards: product pages use Shopware's own Open Graph fields, category and landing pages get their own fields.
- Listing pages: paginated pages canonicalise to themselves (configurable); filtered and sorted listing addresses receive noindex, follow and a canonical to the unfiltered category, optionally blocked in robots.txt as well.
- URL rules (Technical SEO → URL rules): noindex and canonical per address pattern.
- Sitemap with language alternates (xhtml:link), product images and product videos on the product entry.
- GEO features: AI crawler policy with training/retrieval separation, Markdown version of every page (announced in the page head and in the Link response header), llms.txt validation against the Shopware native implementation, llms-full.txt, AI citation checks.
- Fact pages module (Marketing › AI SEO › Content): one factual page per entity — your shop and, curated and opt-in, a manufacturer — with definition, core data, sections, named sources and a visible review date. Visible core data and structured data come from the same column. The review date changes only through “Mark as reviewed”, which has its own privilege. Every fact page is also available as Markdown and in llms-full.txt; overdue or incomplete pages appear as tasks.
- AI visibility measurement: referral dashboard for AI assistants, AI bot crawl statistics, and your own buying questions put to your AI provider on a schedule — with position of your shop in the answer, named competitors, history and competitor ranking.
- Redirects including 410 Gone, with validation of the source address on saving and CSV import and export — the import runs in the background through the message queue; 404 monitor with fuzzy URL suggestions and one-click redirects.
- Audit with scheduled runs per scan type and sales channel. Checks include canonical errors (noindex conflict, self-reference, target missing in the shop, foreign domain), hreflang return links, products without an internal link, products too deep in the category tree, indexable filtered listing pages and the sharing preview image.
- Google integration with your own credentials: PageSpeed Insights with the full Lighthouse audit (all four categories, individual checks kept), field data (CrUX), Search Console performance data and indexing status per address (URL Inspection API, including the canonical Google has selected).
- Monitoring thresholds and alerts: measured values beyond Google's limits and deteriorations between two snapshots become tasks.
- Reachability check (off by default) for monitored addresses and every redirect target: outages, redirect targets returning 404, redirect loops and chains. robots.txt and sitemap.xml are checked against what the server actually delivers.
- Central to-do list fed by 404s, audit findings, GEO checks, indexing status, measurements and fact pages.
- Internal linking rules applied at runtime, including the product description on CMS product pages, plus AI link suggestions.
- Schedule overview listing every scan type, each with its own interval and on/off switch.
- AI layer with bring-your-own-key providers, approval queue with diff, token and cost tracking with a daily budget.
- Prompt library: as many named prompts per purpose as you like, with list and detail page, description, duplicate function and a test run against a real record. Shipped prompts arrive in the shop's system language, their names in the language of the backend. Prompt and model are chosen where the generation is triggered; without a choice the default of the AI action applies.
- IndexNow ping for Bing and Yandex.
- Fine-grained privileges per area, including a separate privilege “Cancel running audit” that lets a role stop a running audit without the right to start one.
- The plugin can be switched on and off and configured per sales channel. Retention per data type is configurable from 1 to 180 days; the plugin writes its own log file var/log/SwpAiSeoAllinOneSix-.log.
- Administration lists in the backend language with sales channel names, columns that stay inside the frame (look-up columns can be shown or hidden and are remembered per user) and a reload button when a list cannot be loaded.
- Available in German, English and Dutch.
