About the Extension

Add-on plugin – requires the Product Configurator (SwpProductOptionsSix). This plugin works exclusively as an extension of the base plugin Product Configurator (SwpProductOptionsSix). Without the installed, active, and separately purchased base plugin, this plugin has no function.

A print shop sells business cards with digital printing. The printing costs the same per item whether someone orders 50 cards or 5,000. So the customer sends an email asking for a price on the larger run. And somebody in your office works it out by hand, sends a quote and waits.

The problem

The product configurator can price options, but with exactly one price per option. As soon as your costing drops with the quantity, that single price stops fitting. Price too high and the big order goes to a competitor. Price too low and you give away margin on every small basket. The usual workaround is manual labour: price on request, quote by email, callback. Theorders worth the most revenue are exactly the ones that stop going through your shop on their own.

The solution

This plugin attaches a quantity scale to every option in your configurator. You enter what digital printing costs up to 9 items, up to 49 items and from 50 items upwards. Your customer types in a quantity, the shop picks the matching tier and shows the new total for that configuration straight away. No quote, no callback, no spreadsheet on the side.

What's in it for you

Big orders go through without you. The customer gets the quantity price in the shop, not by email on the next working day. That removes the step where most enquiries quietly die.

Your customer sees where it gets cheaper. The full scale sits next to the option with quantity and unit price. Somebody who needs 45 items and spots the tier starting at 50 will do the maths themselves. That is the honest way to grow a basket.

Trade and retail in the same shop. Every scale hangs off a condition rule from the Shopware Rule Builder. You set one scale for all customers and a second one for your trade customer group, without duplicating a single product.

A special case costs you no second option. If one product needs different terms, you override the scale on that product. Every other product using the same option stays untouched, and one click on "Delete overwrite" brings it back to the general scale.

Foreign currencies without a calculator. Each currency gets its own column, linked by default to the conversion rate of your default currency. If you prefer round house prices in GBP instead of awkward converted amounts, you unlink that one field.

You can stand it down at any time. A switch per sales channel turns the tiered prices off. Your maintained prices stay fully intact and reappear the moment you switch it back on.

How the plugin works

Once activated, every product option of the configurator carries an Advanced prices tab. You pick a condition rule first, then enter your quantity ranges: quantity from, quantity to, price per item. The rows build on each other, so the next one starts automatically at the next quantity up. Gaps and overlaps cannot happen. Leave the "to" field of the last row empty and it stays open ended, meaning "from this quantity upwards".

In the shop the scale appears as a small table right inside the option selection. When the customer changes the quantity, the configuration summary recalculates immediately and lists the original item price, the selected option and the configured final price separately. That price carries over unchanged into the basket and the order.

Typical use cases

Print shop. Digital printing, finishing, spot colour: every extra service gets cheaper at higher run lengths. Three tiers per option cover most of the enquiries you get today.

Garment decorator. Embroidery and screen printing cost far more per item on 10 shirts than on 200. Club orders and corporate runs then price themselves.

Cutting and components. Drilled holes, edge finishing or engraving per part: above a certain quantity you set the machine up once instead of ten times. That is exactly what the scale expresses.

B2B alongside B2C. Your trade customers reach the lower tiers earlier than retail buyers through their own condition rule, in the same shop and with the same products.

Technical facts for your IT team

Shopware 6.7 from the 6.7.12 line onwards, PHP 8.2 or newer.

Add-on plugin – requires the product configurator (SwpProductOptionsSix) from version 6.7.12, installed and active.

The plugin creates no table of its own. The tier prices live in the existing price table of the base plugin; original Shopware tables stay unchanged and no custom fields are added. Pricing runs as a decorator of the configurator price calculator plus three event subscribers. The tiers are loaded along with the product options query that runs anyway, so the plugin adds no extra database query per option. Every subscriber is guarded against errors and writes to its own log channel. If an addition fails, the configurator carries on with the standard price instead of breaking the page.

The plugin configuration is always read with the sales channel ID, so the switch takes effect per shop. The plugin sends no data to external servers, stores no personal data and sets no cookies, so it adds no entry to your GDPR documentation. On uninstall Shopware asks as usual whether the plugin data should be kept. If you decline, the plugin removes its configuration and the tier prices it created through the DAL, cleanly and transactionally. The configurator options themselves always remain.

To be honest

This is not a standalone product configurator. Without the base plugin SwpProductOptionsSix it has no effect, and that base plugin is a separate purchase. It also discounts the configurator options only: the price of the product itself and its own scale prices stay untouched. And if several of your rules apply to one customer at the same time, exactly one of them wins, not automatically the cheapest. If you already run the configurator and work with quantities there, this fits. Everyone else needs the base plugin first. Release the tiers in one sales channel and look at the result before you go live everywhere.
