About the Extension

With the official Shopware Custom Products extension, you can offer your customers individually configurable products. The configuration and ordering flow, however, is built for the storefront: as soon as your team needs to create or adjust an order in the administration, there is no intended way to do so.

B2B requests, manual corrections and other back-office workflows often require exactly these configurable products. By default, though, they cannot be configured directly in the admin order area.

This is where Custom Products for Admin Orders comes in.

With Custom Products for Admin Orders, your team can add and edit customized products directly on the existing order detail page in the Shopware administration. It uses the same templates, options and configuration logic that customers already know from the storefront, so your internal process stays consistent with the customer-facing experience.

All option types: select, color and image select, checkbox, number, text, date/time and file uploads.
Uploads run through Shopware's familiar media management. Admin uploads are stored in the same upload media folder as the storefront, keeping thumbnails, retention and folder structure consistent.
Surcharges, taxes and discounts are calculated via Shopware's standard price calculation so the order total stays correct.
Existing customized products can be reopened and edited in existing orders.
Quantity changes are synchronised across the full configuration set.

Who is the plugin for?

Order entry in the back office (B2B): For shops with configurable products whose orders often do not come through the storefront – B2B orders, quotes, phone orders. Your team creates the order directly in the administration, including the full product configuration.

Service and returns for personalized products (B2C): For shops that offer personalized products (engravings, photo gifts, print-on-demand, made-to-measure) and have a service contact. For a replacement, a return or an identical reorder, your team reopens the existing configuration and adjusts it – without sending the customer through the entire configurator again or triggering a new payment.

Requirements

This plugin extends the official Shopware Custom Products extension and requires it to be installed and active. Custom Products is available from the Shopware Rise plan onwards; without it, Custom Products for Admin Orders cannot be used. Shopware 6.7 is also required.
