About the Extension

Shopware stores exactly one delivery time per product. As soon as you run several sales channels or ship to different countries, that is often not enough: one warehouse ships faster than another, one channel uses a different carrier, and distant regions take longer anyway. With Delivery Times Professional, you control the delivery time where it actually differs: per sales channel, per product and per country zone.

Delivery times on three levels

Per sales channel

Set a default delivery time for all sales channels and override it per channel where needed. Products without their own value fall back to it automatically – controlled by a switch that is enabled by default.

Per product and channel

For individual products you can deviate per channel: use the delivery time stored on the product, adopt the channel default, or set a custom delivery time. The choice is made directly in the product view; the channel default is shown read-only when selected.

Per country zone

Group countries into zones and define a surcharge per sales channel. The surcharge is added on top of the delivery time, so the estimate also fits deliveries to distant regions.

Visible in the right places

The delivery time appears on the product page. Optionally, you can also show it in the cart and the off-canvas mini cart, and add a link on the product page that opens an overview of delivery times per country. Both options are controlled per sales channel.

Delivery time in order and email

The displayed delivery time is stored on every order line item. This makes it available not only in the cart, but also in the order, the order confirmation and the customer account view. For the email template, the extension provides a ready-to-paste snippet in the administration.

Set-up in the administration

Channel defaults, delivery zones and zone surcharges are maintained in a dedicated area under Settings; the storefront display is controlled per sales channel in the extension’s configuration. Access is protected by Shopware’s permission system.

This guide takes you from installation to a working configuration in a few steps. With the extension you control the delivery time on several levels: a default per sales channel, overridden per product where needed, and optionally extended by a surcharge per country zone. In the storefront it is shown automatically; for the order confirmation you insert an included snippet.

1. Install and activate

Install and activate the extension in the Extension Manager (Extensions → My Extensions), then clear the cache.

The configuration lives in two areas of the admin: you set up the basic delivery times and zones under Settings, and the storefront display and email snippet in the extension configuration (Extensions → My Extensions). The following steps guide you through both in order.

2. Set the default delivery time per sales channel

Open Settings → Extensions → Delivery Times Professional. In the “Default delivery time per sales channel” card, enter a delivery time for each channel. It applies to all products without their own value. In the “All sales channels (default)” row you can additionally set a global default delivery time for channels without their own value; without a selection (“None – Shopware default”) the usual Shopware behaviour remains active. Only active sales channels with a domain are shown.

The “Fall back to sales-channel default” switch is enabled by default: products in “product delivery time” mode without their own value then fall back to the channel default.

3. Optional: adjust the delivery time per product

Open a product and use the “Delivery time per sales channel” card. For each channel, choose between “Use product delivery time”, “Use sales channel default” and “Custom delivery time”.

4. Optional: set up country zones and surcharges

Under Settings → Extensions → Delivery Times Professional, use the “Delivery zones” card to create zones and assign countries. A country belongs to exactly one zone.
In the channel list, use “Configure” to open the zone window for that channel and set a delay per zone: value, unit and whether it applies to min & max or max only.

5. Configure the storefront display

Open the extension configuration (Extensions → My Extensions → Delivery Times Professional → Configuration) and select the desired sales channel at the top. Enable if needed:

Show per-country delivery times – adds a link on the product page that opens the per-country overview.
Show delivery time in cart / off-canvas – requires “Show delivery time in cart” to be enabled in Shopware’s cart settings.

6. Add the delivery time to the order email

In the same configuration you will find the “Delivery times in email templates” card with a ready-to-paste snippet and a copy button. Insert the snippet into your order email template, inside the loop over the order line items.

7. Clear the cache

Finally, clear the cache so that all changes take effect in the storefront.

Does the extension permanently replace my products' delivery time?

No. The delivery time field on the product stays stored as before. The extension only affects which delivery time is shown in the storefront. When an order is placed, the displayed delivery time is additionally recorded on the order line item – existing orders are not changed retroactively.

Can I set different delivery times per sales channel?

Yes. You set a default delivery time per channel and can additionally adjust it per product and per country zone.

Is the delivery time also shown in the order confirmation?

Yes. The displayed delivery time is stored on the order line item and can be added to any order email via an included snippet.

Why don't I see a country-based surcharge as a guest visitor?

Without a login there is no delivery address and therefore no destination country. Guests are shown the delivery time without a country-based surcharge. Once a customer is logged in, the surcharge of the matching zone is applied based on the delivery country. The optional per-country overview on the product page shows delivery times per country regardless of login.

Do I need programming knowledge to set it up?

Configuration is done in the administration. Only for the display in the order email do you paste a ready-made snippet into your email template.
