Your footer belongs to you — not to Shopware. And it is free.Right at the bottom of your store sits Shopware's copyright: a small Shopware logo and a line of text. This plugin takes out both — or replaces them with yours.

What exactly disappears
Shopware renders a fixed block at the very bottom of the footer: a Shopware logo as an icon and, next to it, the copyright line. Both belong to the default theme and cannot be switched off in the admin — without touching the template, they stay.That is the block this plugin replaces. Two switches decide what stands there afterwards:
- Both off — your footer ends with your own content. No Shopware logo, no copyright line, no empty placeholder.
- Copyright line on — your text stands there instead of Shopware's.
- Store logo on — your logo appears centred above the line.
The two switches are independent. Logo only, text only, both or nothing — all four combinations are supported.
Your own copyright line
The line is a free text field — and it may contain HTML. So it holds not just a name, but whatever you need:- your store name, your company name, your copyright symbol, your year
- Links — clickable, in the middle of the line, to any page of your store
- formatting such as bold or italic
Plus two colour fields: one for the text, one for the links. The link colour also applies on hover — there the link turns slightly transparent instead of changing colour. That way the line fits into your design instead of standing out from it.
Your logo above it: on request the plugin places your store logo centred above the copyright line — the same logo your store already uses in the header. You give the width in pixels, the plugin does the rest.
The checkout follows along
Shopware builds the checkout footer from the same block as the normal footer — it just shows less around it. That is why your setting applies there automatically: where you remove the Shopware copyright, it is gone in the cart, in the login and on the order confirmation page too.You do not have to configure anything extra, and there is no page where the old line suddenly reappears. That is exactly where it stands out most otherwise: a store that shows its own branding everywhere and someone else's precisely at checkout.
Am I allowed to do this?
The most frequent question — and the honest answer has two parts.What is fact: Shopware 6 is published under the MIT licence. It requires the copyright and licence notice to remain in the copies of the software — that is, in the licence file in the code, which this plugin does not touch. The MIT licence text does not require a visible line in the storefront. The plugin only changes the output in the footer, nothing about your installation and nothing about your licence.
What we cannot tell you: whether that fits your case. Editions, partner and agency contracts may contain their own branding rules, and legal advice is not our job. If you are unsure, that is a two-minute question to your Shopware partner — and afterwards you know instead of guessing.
What the plugin is — and what it is not
It is a small, sharply cut tool for exactly one spot in your store: the copyright line in the footer. It installs, gets six settings, and after that you stop thinking about it.It is not a footer builder. It does not build footer columns, footer navigation, service links or payment and shipping icons. Anyone wanting to rebuild the whole footer needs a theme, not a plugin.
It is built for the Shopware default theme. Themes that override the copyright line themselves win against the plugin — then the setting does not take effect. That is not a flaw but the order in which Shopware loads templates: the theme has the last word.
It is not intended for ThemeWare® or FreeTheme — and it knows that itself. If one of our themes is active, the plugin automatically steps back instead of interfering. The branding of those themes is removed free of charge on request via the Service Portal — you do not need this plugin for that.
