About the Extension

Benefit from our open, cross-provider Click&Collect service and offer your customers flexible, contactless pick-up at the most central location in the city, the train station.

By integrating Box - The pick-up station as a shipping option in your Shopware webshop, you can specify your preferred CEP service provider for transportation and delivery yourself. Independent delivery is also possible. The only requirement is the creation of a merchant account with Box - The pick-up station.

The route your shipment takes to Box

The customer selects the desired pick-up station in the check-out. The app calculates the required compartment size based on the shopping basket and provides a delivery code for posting. Once the consignment has been placed in a compartment, your customer is informed and automatically receives a code to collect the consignment.

One box for all

In addition to parcels, the pick-up station is also suitable for everyday services such as depositing textiles for cleaning or collecting keys and rental items. The sustainable and convenient service makes it easy and flexible to receive consignments. The new Click&Collect service is already available at many public transport stations throughout Germany.

Activating the app

When the app is activated, the following changes are made in the Shopware system:

Under Content Media there is an additional folder “DB Box - The pick-up station” in which icons for the shipping option are stored.

Under Settings > Shop > Email templates are created for the standard cases. In order to successfully send the emails according to your business logic, appropriate rules must be set up for sending.

The following email templates are created by the app:

Shipment sent
Shipment ready for collection
Shipment last pick-up request
Shipment picked up
Collection no longer possible
Delivery to DB Box not possible

Further delivery statuses are created to provide the additional statuses for the rule builder.

The following delivery statuses are created:

Booked (box_booked)
Confirmed (box_confirmed)
Deposited (box_deposited)
Collected (box_collected)
Emptying started (box_in_eviction)
Emptied (box_evicted)
Cancellation started (box_in_cancellation)
Canceled (box_cancelled)
Overdue (box_overdue)
Removed (box_removed)
Error (box_failed)

A copyable webhook URL is stored in the configuration, which must be stored in the Box Merchant account.

A set for the dimensions of the products has been added under Settings > System > Additional fields.

Shipping method

Here you can link the shipping method that should apply to “Box - The pick-up station”

Use product dimensions

Here you can determine whether the Width, Height & Depth fields from the product master data should be used. If you do not want to use these values, you can use the additional fields added during activation.

Volume surcharge

Here you can define a numerical value by which the volume of your dimensions should be increased.

In this field, which can only be read, you will find the webhook URL for your Box Merchant account

The shipping type “Box - The pick-up station” is a normal shipping type. Like any other shipping method, you can also configure it using the rule builder and define shipping costs.

In the media you will find several logos that you can use.

Please note that the shipping method still needs to be activated.

Sales channel

In order for the shipping method to be available in your store, it still needs to be made available in your sales channels. To do this, open the sales channel and add the “Box - The pick-up station” shipping method to your shipping methods in the “Payment and shipping” section.
