About the Extension
Why your best product lists are invisible to Google
Your customers don't search for "tableware". They search for "cream tableware", "Adidas sneakers under 100 €" or "winter jackets free shipping". Your shop already has these product lists, a few filter clicks away. Google never sees them: filtered listings have cryptic URLs with parameters, no meta data of their own and no dedicated content. Search engines skip them or treat them as duplicates of the category page.
The result: long-tail queries with the highest purchase intent go to marketplaces and competitors that offer exactly these pages.
The solution: landing pages built from your filters
With SEO Filter Landingpages you define in the Administration which filter combination on which category gets its own landing page. The plugin turns it into a full page with a readable URL, dedicated SEO data and, if you want, its own layout. The product list is the same one your listing shows, so it is always up to date and maintains itself.
Example: category "Tableware", property "Colour: Cream". This becomes the landing page /tableware/cream/ with the title "Buy cream tableware online", an intro text and the matching product list.
How it works in the storefront
Direct visit: A visitor arriving from Google sees the pre-filtered product list with your layout and texts right away.
Automatic redirect: If a customer builds exactly the filter combination of a landing page in a regular listing, they are redirected to its SEO URL. No competing URLs, and shared links are always the readable address.
Refine further: On the landing page the customer can add filters, for instance size. The list narrows, the landing page URL stays.
What you control per landing page
- Filter combination: category, properties (e.g. colour, material) and manufacturers. Combine as you like.
- SEO data: meta title, meta description, keywords, robots directive (index/noindex, follow/nofollow) and canonical URL.
- URL: generated from an SEO URL template or set manually per sales channel and language.
- Layout: assign a layout from Shopping Experiences, including mapping of the landing page's title and description into the layout elements. Without an assignment the default category layout is used.
- Sitemap: priority, change frequency or full exclusion.
- Open Graph: title, description and image for sharing on social networks.
- Visibility: activate or deactivate the landing page, assign sales channels.
- Custom fields: your own fields for your templates.
Fast work in the Administration
- Use "Save and duplicate" to clone a landing page as a template, e.g. the same setup for "blue" and "green".
- "Generate all URLs" rebuilds every SEO URL in one run; progress shows up in the notifications.
- Optional breadcrumb and "Back to category" button in the storefront, both switchable in the plugin configuration.
- Dedicated permission in the role system (ACL) so only your SEO team edits landing pages.
- Translatable: all texts and URLs can be maintained per language.
Add-on: configuration per sales channel
Do you run several sales channels with separate category trees or different properties, for example because your ERP creates its own attributes per country? With the paid "Per sales channel" add-on you maintain category, filters and manufacturers individually per sales channel while meta data and layout stay central. Existing landing pages can be switched with one click and reverted to standard mode at any time.
In standard mode (without the add-on) one configuration applies to all assigned sales channels. For many shops that is all they need.
Who benefits
- Shops with a broad range and many filter options (fashion, furniture, electronics, spare parts)
- Merchants who want to target long-tail keywords like "brand + attribute + category"
- Agencies and SEO teams that want to create and maintain landing pages without developer effort
- Operators of several sales channels with different category trees
