Checkout Newsletter – More subscribers directly in the ordering process

The “Checkout Newsletter” plugin extends Shopware's standard checkout with an intelligent newsletter registration that is seamlessly integrated into the ordering process. The aim is to significantly increase the number of newsletter subscribers without interrupting the checkout process or placing an unnecessary burden on customers.

Customers who are not yet registered for the newsletter will see an additional option in the checkout. This significantly increases the likelihood of newsletter sign-ups, as the process does not present an additional hurdle and is embedded directly into the natural purchase process. Your settings regarding double opt-in are respected and thus make the plugin GDPR compliant.

Another advantage is that the prompt only appears for customers who have not yet subscribed to the newsletter. This means that existing subscribers are not repeatedly confronted with the same option, which does not disrupt the user experience and makes it consistent. At the same time, the possibility of repetition in future orders is taken into account: if a customer does not subscribe to the newsletter or has previously unsubscribed, the option reappears – thus maintaining the opportunity to gain new subscribers even with subsequent purchases.

The plugin offers clear advantages for shop operators. It increases the reach of marketing campaigns, generates additional contacts for email marketing, and enables stronger customer loyalty in the long term. Since the registration process is fully integrated into the checkout, there is no need for time-consuming separate campaigns or pop-ups, which are often perceived as annoying. Instead, it offers an unobtrusive but effective solution that has a positive impact on the conversion rate of newsletter subscriptions.
