Manufacturer and Brand Pages with SEO URLs

About the Extension

Manufacturer / Brands creates brand pages for your manufacturers and lists your brands on an A–Z manufacturer overview. Both get SEO URLs. By default, manufacturers with products are added to the sitemap, the search suggestions show matching manufacturers, and on product pages a manufacturer tab links to the brand page while a slider shows products of the same brand.

A–Z manufacturer overview

The built-in overview page groups your manufacturers by first letter, with a letter navigation that jumps to each group. Brand cards show the logo, the name and, by default, the number of products.

• All manufacturers or only manufacturers with products
• 250 manufacturers per page by default, up to 1,000, with pagination
• Umlauts and common accents under their base letter, digits, symbols and other characters under #

Brand pages for your manufacturers

The built-in brand page shows the manufacturer's banner, logo, name, description and website link. Below them, the products of this brand appear by default in a listing with filters, sorting and pagination.

Manufacturer settings per brand

Under Catalogues > Manufacturers, the "Manufacturer / Brand" card adds the brand fields to each manufacturer.

• Hide single manufacturers from the overview, search and sitemap
• Mark top manufacturers
• Banner image for the brand page
• Alternative URL as the redirect target of the brand page, for example a landing page
• Own Shopping Experience layout for this manufacturer
• Meta title, meta description and meta keywords per language

Manufacturer tab and brand slider on product pages

By default, a "Manufacturer information" tab after the Description tab shows the brand's logo, name and description, with a link to the brand page. A slider with products of the same manufacturer, also on by default, sits in the Description tab below or above the description. The manufacturer logo element links to the brand page, unless it has a link of its own.

Manufacturers in the Ajax search

By default, matching manufacturers appear above the product results in the search suggestions, with logo, name and a "Manufacturer" label, and link to the brand page.

• Up to 5 manufacturers by default, 25 at most
• Shown from a minimum screen width, 768 px by default
• Maximum width of the suggestion box while manufacturers are shown, 400 px by default

SEO for manufacturer and brand pages

The overview and the brand pages get SEO URLs, by default with the base path "hersteller", which you can change per sales channel.

• Base path for the overview, by default also in front of the manufacturer URLs
• Optional trailing slash
• SEO URL templates per sales channel, regenerated when you change these settings
• Manufacturers with products in the sitemap.xml, on by default
• Canonical URLs and schema.org breadcrumbs, plus Brand markup on the built-in brand page

Shopping Experiences for brand pages

Seven elements in the "Manufacturer" block category build your own manufacturer overview and brand pages: Manufacturer Listing, Manufacturer Filter, Manufacturer Banner, Manufacturer Heading, Top Manufacturer Slider, Manufacturer Products and Image & Text. Assign layouts to the overview, as the default for brand pages or to single manufacturers.

• Listing with logo and name, logo only or name only, in 2, 3 or 4 columns or as a slider
• Letter navigation in the listing, on by default, that scrolls to a letter or shows only that letter
• Filter with A–Z groups that open and close
• Products in the layout type "Standard", "Big image" or "Minimal", up to 48
• Banner, heading, products and image & text use the page's manufacturer, on product pages the product's, or one you pick
