About the Extension

The “Sitemap for AI Bots” plugin makes your Shopware 6 store more accessible to AI systems such as ChatGPT. It automatically creates a structured JSON file (ai-catalog.json) containing key product, category, and shop metadata - specifically formatted to support semantic understanding by AI-based tools. 


To ensure discoverability, the plugin also extends your existing robots.txt by adding a reference to the JSON sitemap. This allows AI bots and search systems to easily locate and crawl the data. The extension process is non-destructive: your existing robots.txt rules remain intact, and the plugin appends only the necessary directive to include the AI sitemap. If there is no robots.txt file then it will be created and will only contain the entry for the AI ​​sitemap.


For larger shops, the JSON output can be split into smaller files to keep file sizes manageable and maintain performance. This plugin is ideal for merchants who want to enhance their shop’s visibility to AI tools and prepare their store for next-generation search, recommendations, and intelligent automation.


The plugin is not a replacement for the standard Shopware sitemap.
