Back in Stock Notifications, Stock Alerts & Waitlist

About the Extension
Back in Stock Notification adds a "Notify me when back in stock" form to products whose stock is below your threshold. Customers leave their email address and, if they like, the quantity they need. As soon as the product is back in stock, they get an email with a link to it.
Back in stock form on the product page
The form appears in the buy box as long as the stock is below the threshold (1 by default). Customers send it without leaving the page and see the result right away.
- Email address and, shown by default, a field for the desired quantity
- Logged-in customers find their email address already filled in
- Privacy consent checkbox, shown and required by default, linked to your privacy page if you have set one
- The captchas from your Shopware settings; by default, captcha and consent appear once the customer uses the form
- Optional: the form replaces the add-to-cart button
- Optional: a "Get notified" button in product listings opens the form in an off-canvas
- For variants, the form belongs to the selected variant
- Rate limit per IP address, and by default up to 20 open subscriptions per email address and sales channel
Stock notifications with double opt-in
By default, a subscription only becomes active after the customer confirms it. The confirmation email links to a page where a click on "Confirm" activates the subscription. The link is valid for 72 hours by default.
- Logged-in customers confirm too by default; optionally, they subscribe with their account email without a confirmation email
- Opening a confirmation or unsubscribe link changes nothing on its own; both need a click on a button
- The back in stock email contains an unsubscribe link
- By default, unconfirmed subscriptions are deleted once their 72-hour link has expired, notified ones after 30 days
Automatic back in stock emails
When the stock of a product rises, for example after a stock update in the Administration, an import or a cancelled order, the plugin checks the waiting subscriptions in the background. Each confirmed subscription gets exactly one email once the product is back in stock.
- Stock basis: absolute stock (default) or available stock
- Threshold per sales channel, and per product as a custom field
- Customers who entered a quantity are notified once the stock covers that quantity
- Emails go out in the language the customer subscribed in, with a link to the product
- Five mail templates in English and German, sent by ready-made flows in Flow Builder
- Optional: an email to an administrator about new subscriptions
- Optional: a Flow Builder trigger once a set number of customers wait for one product
Pre-launch waitlist for upcoming products
Optional and off by default: products with a release date in the future show "Join the waitlist" instead of the back in stock form. By default, the waitlist gets its notification when the release date is reached.
- On the product page, the add-to-cart button stays hidden until the release date by default; turn this off for pre-orders
- Separate confirmation and release emails for the waitlist
- Release dates are checked every 15 minutes
Stock notifications in the customer account
By default, customers find "Stock notifications" in the account menu. The page lists the products they subscribed to while logged in with their account email, with type, status and date.
- Statuses: Awaiting confirmation, Active, Notified
- A "Remove" button for each subscription
- Store API routes to subscribe, confirm, unsubscribe and list subscriptions
Manage stock notifications in the Administration
Under Catalogues > Stock notifications, a dashboard shows the subscriptions in total, active, awaiting confirmation, notified in the last 30 days and on a waitlist, plus the most awaited products and the latest subscriptions.
- Subscription list with search and filters for type, sales channel and date
- Resend the confirmation email for unconfirmed subscriptions
- Product demand page with the number of waiting customers and the stock of the 20 most awaited products
- CSV export of all subscriptions
- "Stock notifications" tab on the product detail page, on by default
- Permissions for viewing, editing and deleting
- Built-in documentation
