About the Extension
Not every product has a fixed price. Bulk orders, made to measure goods, machinery, spare parts and B2B ranges usually need an individual offer before a customer can order at all. This extension sets those products to price on request and gives visitors a direct way to ask.
In place of the price and the add to cart button, the product shows a clear price on request label and a request button. A form opens in a layer, the customer fills in contact details and an optional message, and the enquiry lands in your administration. The same works for the full cart, so a customer can assemble a list of items and send it as a single price request.
You then answer from the same screen. Write a message, name your price, attach a PDF quote if you have one, and it goes straight to the customer. They can reply, and if your offer is not right they can reject it and send their own price back. Every message from both sides sits in one thread, so nothing lives in a mailbox somebody else cannot see. When the customer accepts, the request is marked accepted and you are notified.
You decide which products are affected. Set them individually in the product settings, or let rules do the work: everything above a certain price, everything with low stock, everything matching a condition from the rule builder, or the complete catalogue at once. Products you never want to hide can be excluded permanently, and that exclusion always wins.
The request form adapts to what you need. Ask for a full address and make it mandatory, allow file attachments for drawings or specifications, and show a consent checkbox for your data protection information. Existing captcha settings are respected and submissions are rate limited, so the form is protected the same way as the rest of your shop. If somebody already has an open request for the same item or cart, you can have them warned or the duplicate refused outright.
Registered customers find their requests in their account, with the status, your answers, any documents you attached, and the option to withdraw a request they no longer need.
All settings apply per sales channel, so a B2B channel can hide prices completely while a retail channel keeps selling as usual.
