About the Extension

A better text editor for Shopware

Advanced Editor | WYSIWYG replaces the standard text editor in the Shopware Administration with Trumbowyg, a lightweight open-source WYSIWYG editor, for example in product descriptions. You format your content directly in the editor and see the result while you write. The HTML view gives you access to the source code at any time.

Formatting

The toolbar contains everything you need for well-structured texts:

Paragraphs, quotes and headings H1 to H4
Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, superscript and subscript
Links, text alignment (left, center, right, justified), bulleted and numbered lists, horizontal lines
Text and background colors, font family, font size and line height
Indent and outdent, preformatted text for code, emoji and special characters
Remove formatting, undo and redo, fullscreen mode and HTML view

Images from the media library

"Insert image" opens the Shopware media library. The alt text stored for the image in the media library is taken over automatically.

Insert images with a link
Hover over or click an image to edit or remove it
Image settings: title, link, width, height, position (standard, left, center, right), border, vertical and horizontal spacing, alt text and CSS class
Text flows around images positioned on the left or right
Resize images by dragging the bottom-right corner; the aspect ratio stays the same

Tables

Insert tables with a grid of up to 8 × 8 cells and add more rows and columns at any time
New tables come with a header row; delete rows, columns or the whole table
Merge and unmerge cells and align cell content vertically
Choose cell background colors and the table border color
Table settings for border width, cell padding and cell spacing, which the storefront applies
Tables inserted with the editor span the full width in the storefront

Videos and audio

YouTube videos by video ID: the storefront embeds them responsively in 16:9 via youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, once the page has loaded
Audio files by URL with options for autoplay, muted, loop and preload: the storefront shows an HTML5 audio player with controls

Layout templates

Six layout templates for an image next to a text: the image on the left or on the right, with the content aligned at the top, center or bottom. They insert placeholders that you replace with your image and text; the matching styles for the storefront are included.

Clean HTML

"Remove inline styles" deletes all style attributes from the text with one click
A completely emptied editor is saved empty, without leftover tags

Configuration

All 20 additional functions can be switched on or off individually in the extension configuration; after installation, all of them are active. The editor grows with its content.

Nach direkter Kommunikation mit dem Support (ich hatte zwei Wünsche offen) wurden auch diese in Windeseile umgesetzt. WOW - Plugin top und Support ebenfalls 5 Sterne.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit diesem Editor. Der Support ist sehr gut - funktioniert bislang ohne Probleme. Bislang keine Fehler erkannt - Updates kommen auch rechtzeitig. Kleine Verbesserungen wurden sofort eingearbeitet. Zusätzlich wurden einige Extrawünsche ebenfalls umgesetzt. Dieses Plugin empfehle ich auf jeden Fall. Alle Funktionen, die ich benötige, sind vorhanden.

Dies ist sicherlich nicht der beste Editor. Da gibt es deutlich umfangreichere, aber auch deutlich teurere! Für den Preis sind wir voll zufrieden, er erfüllt was er verspricht. Da sind wir eher von der Shopware AG enttäuscht, dass sie es nicht auf die Kette bekommen, einen anständigen Admin Editor einzubinden und man stattdessen eine Erweiterung kaufen oder nun mieten muss.

Support von weedesign ist wieder tadellos und hilfsbereit!

Umfangreicher Editor, der keine Wünsche offen lässt.

Dieser Editor bietet viele Funktionen und ist besser als der Standard von Shopware.
Mir ging es vor allem um die leichte Einbettung von Medien. Mit diesem Plugin zum Glück endlich möglich!

Schöne Idee mit vielen Macken

Dieser erweiterte Editor funktioniert nicht gut. Sobald man den einsetzt und damit eine Textbox editieren möchte, wird die Seite weiß und er Editor hängt sich auf. Dann ist man zum Abbruch gezwungen und danach funktioniert wieder alles, bis man wieder auf eine Funktion trifft, die dann wieder alles abstürzen lässt. Sowas nervt und ist bei den ganzen unzähligen Macken die Shopware 6 noch hat, nur noch mehr Ärgernis als Hilfe. Alles ist aktuell und auf dem neuesten Stand der Technik.

Diese Bewertung bezieht sich auf die erste Version des Plugins aus dem Jahr 2022. Das Plugin hat sich in den letzten Jahren deutlich verbessert und die hier angesprochenen Fehler wurden längst behoben.
