We have collaborated with experts from Mollie and combined all well-known best practices to date into a single, conversion-focused plugin. Built on top of Shopware 6’s native checkout, it replaces the standard experience with a faster, smarter, and more intuitive solution — featuring live address validation, delivery moment selection, payment method integrations, sustainability options, and much more.

Together with Mollie, a company with over two decades of expertise in both conversion optimization and payment solutions, we created this plugin to ensure the most reliable and complete checkout possible.

We conducted extensive research into what works and what does not, resulting in a conversion rate increase of over 20%.

The result is a checkout that removes unnecessary friction at every step — from the moment a customer enters their email address to the moment they confirm their order.


Satisfy new and returning customers

Having to continuously fill out personal details can be extremely frustrating for consumers.

The Best Practice Checkout prevents this by automatically completing the fields as soon as customers enter their email address, ensuring their experience remains as seamless as possible.

In addition, we have overhauled the address management system, making it easier and more intuitive for visitors to enter or modify their address details.

Guest customers can even convert to a full account at the end of the checkout process without losing their session or cart — no frustrating re-entry of information required.

Additionally, we have implemented security measures to ensure a safe and secure environment.


Smart address validation — powered by Postcode NL, Google Places, or Endereco

Entering an incorrect address is one of the most common causes of checkout errors and failed deliveries.

The Best Practice Checkout integrates directly with three leading address validation services:

  • Postcode NL (optimized for Dutch addresses)

  • Google Places (for international autocomplete)

  • Endereco (via separate plugin)

As customers type their postcode and house number, the street and city fields are automatically filled in and validated in real time, dramatically reducing input errors and the time required to complete the address form.


Let customers choose when they want their order delivered

The plugin includes a built-in delivery moment selector that allows customers to choose their preferred delivery date directly during checkout.

You control how far in advance they can plan (up to 100 days), which dates are excluded (for example, public holidays), and which shipping rule must be active for the feature to appear.

The selected delivery date is stored with the order and remains visible in the Shopware 6 administration panel — no third-party scheduling tool required.


Reduce cart abandonment with a smarter discount code strategy

Research shows that displaying a discount code field can actually increase cart abandonment, as customers may leave the checkout to search for a voucher.

The Best Practice Checkout allows you to optionally hide the discount code field entirely, keeping customers focused on completing their purchase rather than searching for a code they may never find.


Highlight your selling points directly in the checkout

The plugin allows you to display up to four Unique Selling Points (USPs) — such as Free returns, Delivered in 24h, or Secure payment — with custom icons at the top of the checkout.

These trust signals are proven to reduce hesitation and increase confidence at the most critical moment in the buying journey.


Return and refund policies — exactly where customers need them

Instead of forcing customers to open a new tab to read your return or refund policy, you can link directly to a Shopware 6 CMS page that loads inline within the checkout.

Customers receive the information they need without ever leaving the checkout, reducing policy-related abandonment during the shipping selection step.


Make your checkout climate-neutral with South Pole Climate Click

We have partnered with South Pole Climate Click to offer your customers the option to offset their carbon footprint during checkout.

With a single click during checkout configuration, you can enable a climate contribution checkbox on the cart overview page, the checkout confirmation page, or both.

Customers who opt in contribute to certified climate action projects, and you receive a monthly invoice for the total contributions made.

This is a meaningful way to align your store with sustainability values and give environmentally conscious customers an additional reason to complete their purchase.


Seamless integration with Mollie, PayPal, and Sendcloud

The checkout is built with deep payment integration in mind.

Mollie’s credit card component initializes natively inside the checkout, including support for iDEAL, SEPA, and other payment methods.

PayPal is fully supported, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Advanced Credit and Debit Card (ACDC) payments — all rendered correctly within the Best Practice Checkout flow.

If you use Sendcloud for shipping, the Service Point Delivery selector is also fully integrated, allowing customers to choose a pickup point without leaving the checkout.


Fully customizable

We have given you the flexibility to add custom fields for additional customer or order data.

These custom fields can be targeted to specific customer groups and placed either:

  • before the order confirmation button (stored at order level)

  • at the end of the address section (stored at customer level)

Use these fields to collect additional business-critical information, gather specific preferences, or make the checkout feel more personal and aligned with your brand.


Configurable per sales channel

Every setting — from enabling or disabling the checkout itself to toggling the newsletter checkbox, VAT display, salutation field, terms of service checkbox, currency symbols, and more — can be configured independently for each sales channel.

This makes the plugin ideal for multi-store setups with different regional or B2B requirements.

Wir haben gefühlt alle Checkout-Lösungen getestet, da uns der Shopware-Standard-Checkout nicht gefällt - verglichen mit den Lösungen von Shopify und Co.. Dieses Plugin weist für uns die beste Usability auf. Zu Beginn hatten wir einige Kompatibilitätsprobleme mit von uns eingesetzten Plugins. Diese wurden sehr schnell analysiert und die Kompatibilität hergestellt. Auch Sonderwünsche wurden zügig umgesetzt. Dieses Plugin und insbesondere dieser Hersteller können uneingeschränkt empfohlen werden. Danke!

Vor der Migration auf Shopwar 6 war es uns wichtig, dass wir einen benutzerfreundlichen, simplen und konvertierungsstarken Checkout finden. Lange Zeit fand sich nichts und wir waren vom Klarna Checkout in Shopware 5 verwöhnt.

Als dieser Checkout veröffentlicht worden ist, habe ich diesen sofort getestet und war endlos glücklich, einen solch guten Checkout zu finden. Bis heute frage ich mich, warum die anderen Checkout-Plugins so kompliziert gebaut worden sind.

Auch der Support von Gydo war einwandfrei: sehr kurze Antwortzeiten und schnelle Lösungen! Er fragt ständig nach Feedback.
