About the Extension

Your shop has grown, and so has the list of dynamic product groups: “Black Week 2023”, “Test”, “Copy of …”. Nobody dares to delete them, because Shopware does not show you on the product group where it is used. The references sit in many places, some hidden in the settings of Shopping Experiences and rules. If you delete a group that a product slider still uses, the slider silently ends up empty. With Product Group Usage you get a “Usage” tab on every dynamic product group and a delete guard that also checks Shopping Experiences and rules.

"Product Group Usage" shows you every place a dynamic product group is used: categories, cross-selling, product comparisons, product sliders in Shopping Experiences including overrides on categories, landing pages and products, and rules. For rules you see the whole chain, i.e. group › rule › promotion, shipping method, payment method or flow. You open every place in one click. In the list, filters show you the groups that are unused, empty or invalid.
