Feed quality. Meta values are maintained right at the product, and the new feed overview shows which products Meta would reject.
Improvements
- More reliable export: a new feed replaces the previous one only after a complete run. Sales channels with an incomplete configuration are shown in the feed overview.
- Prices and product links are determined per language, currency and sales channel. Variants take over properties of their main product, e.g. the colour.
- Long texts are shortened cleanly at a word boundary.
- Various improvements to code and performance.
New features
- Export in the background via the message queue: "Generate now" in the feed overview starts the export right away and shows its state there. Products are processed in pages, memory does not grow with the catalog.
- New administration module Marketing > Instagram & Facebook Feeds: state of every feed, feed URL to copy, "Generate now" and a quality check of all products (missing image, price, title, brand, GTIN, description, Google category, shortened texts) with filters. A failing scheduled run creates an administration notification.
- New product tab "Meta": do not export, title and description for Meta, main image, Google product category with search in the Google taxonomy, custom labels 0–4 and a preview of the feed row. Variants inherit the values of their main product.
- Additional fields: mpn (manufacturer number), video[0].url, custom_label_1 to custom_label_4, status, internal_label (product tags, optional) and shipping (country, method and price per sales channel, optional).
- Feeds per language and currency: further currencies get their own file with a currency suffix, e.g. instagram_Deutsch-CHF.csv.
- Pinterest and TikTok format as additional feeds per sales channel (files with suffix -pinterest and -tiktok).
- New option "Generate feed automatically": every 6, 12 or 24 hours.
- Console command bin/console bst:insta-shopping:export [--sales-channel=] [--sync].
- New event FeedRowCreatedEvent with the complete feed row. The existing events are unchanged.
- Replacement image for products without an image (optional).
- Feed templates: customise the header and product row per format as Twig templates, for all or single sales channels, with syntax check and preview on a test product. Variables as in the Shopware product export.
- File name pattern with placeholders such as {channel}, {locale}, {currency} and {format}, e.g. storefront-de-de-eur-meta.csv. After an update from 4.0 the existing file names stay until a pattern is set. Previous feed URLs keep working.
- The feed overview shows one card per sales channel, language and currency with a tab per format; failed formats are marked on their tab. New sales channels show up right away, before their first run. If two channels would write the same file, both are flagged and not generated instead of overwriting each other.
Changed behaviour – please note
- "Use article sku as Item Group Id" now groups variants by the product number of their main product. Meta regroups the affected items once.
- Titles may now be 200 instead of 100 characters, descriptions 9,999 instead of 5,000 characters, as allowed by Meta.
- Products without image, with price 0 or without title are no longer exported because Meta rejects them. They are listed in the quality check of the feed overview. A missing description is replaced by the title.
- Existing feeds keep their file names and URLs.
- product_type now uses the main category of the product in the sales channel, otherwise the first category in the navigation tree of the channel.
- The automatic export requires running message queue workers or the admin worker.

The "Create data feed now" button now shows a loading animation while the feed is being created.
Establish compatibility with Shopware Markets. Up to now, there have been errors when creating the feed.
Establishing compatibility with the Custom Products Plugin. In previous versions, the feed could not be created once the Custom Products plugin was installed.
Extended prices have not yet been taken into account. Version 1.9.1 fixes this fact.
Compatibility for Shopware 6.5
Extension of the configuration by the selection of a dynamic product group as the source for the products of the export. Products can be specified better this way.
In addition, it is now possible to define the main image of the article using a tag. If a different main image is to be used in the feed than in the shop, these images can be tagged and this can be selected in the configuration. Note: Tag management was only introduced with Shopware version 6.4.12.0!
In some cases, the defined URL parameter was not appended to the product link. This version fixes this bug.
PHP 8 support (sale_price was displayed as 0 EUR in the feed even if no sale price was defined)
Extension of the configuration. It is now possible to use formatted description texts. After activating the option "Use rich text description", the additional field "rich_text_description" will be included in the feed. Furthermore, a parameter can be defined which is appended to the product url. In this way, visits from Instagram/Facebook can be clearly tracked.
Performance/Memory Optimizations. If a lot of product variants are used in the shop, memory limit errors could occur in some cases.
Bugfix: Feed could not be created if items without a manufacturer were included. This version fixes the problem
Optimizations for expandability/customization of the feed through our InstaShopping Modifier Plugin or your own plugins
Compatibility with Shopware 6.4.11 established. Create Datafeed button now visible again
Move the InstaShoppingProductsLineItemBeforeEvent event call AFTER inserting the properties. ATTENTION: If you use the InstaShoppingProductsLineItemBeforeEvent event, you may have to adjust your logic slightly.
Opening the app for third-party plugins using various events to influence the data before it is displayed in the data feed.
The field material was not activated due to an error in the program logic. This update fixes the bug.
In some cases there were problems with determining the field values of variants. If the inheritance was deactivated for some fields of the variant, the fallback to the other fields of the main product no longer worked. This update addresses this issue.
Extension of the feed to include the origin_country field to control the country of origin
In some cases it can happen that the SEO Url of a product cannot be determined correctly. In this case, a fallback URL is controlled according to the pattern https: // URL / detail / PRODUCT ID
Replacement of html entities (ä &zslig; ...) when exporting for correct display on Facebook. HTML entities may be transmitted with the connection to a WaWi and thus passed on to Facebook.
Bugfix: Products without a category led to an error during export
Performance optimizations as well as correction of the sales channel dependent control of the products. Adjustments for Shopware 6.4: Generate data feed Button during configuration was no longer displayed. This is now in the basic settings
Addition of the missing reference quantity of the basic price when the option "Append basic price details to the product name" is active
Bugfix for variants: Some of these were not exported if they were not explicitly activated. Likewise, the product images of the variants were not taken into account if images were set for the variants. Same game with the product names and descriptions of the variants. All that has now been resolved.
Available quantity is now controlled with 100 instead of 0 if the option "fix stock" was selected to prevent display problems on Facebook.
Inactive products are now excluded from the feed.
Extension of the configuration for appending the basic price information to the product name
When the variant export is active, the parent products are no longer included in the feed, as this is superfluous on the one hand and incorrect pricing can also result on the other.
Correction of help texts in the plugin configuration
Unfortunately, an error crept in with the last update that caused problems during export. This error has been corrected in this version.
Extension of the configuration to exclude articles of certain categories as well as articles for which a definable additional field is defined. In addition, it can now be determined that the price of the basic unit is controlled for containers with a base and reference price.
Example: Package price € 20 (basic unit 1, content 2). If YES, € 10 will be taxed in the feed. If NO € 20.
Fix of price detection of variant product
