About the Extension

Two-Factor Authentication for Shopware

Many customer accounts are inadequately protected. Companies like Amazon, Facebook, and Google have already recognized this problem. By authenticating a customer account with a second device, unauthorized access to the account can be prevented. Therefore, allow your customers the option to enable two-factor authentication to protect their private data.

FAQ

Is the plugin only compatible with Google Authenticator?
No, the plugin also works with similar apps like Microsoft Authenticator. However, we recommend Google Authenticator as it is available for all major mobile operating systems.
What happens if a customer loses their phone?
If your customer no longer has access to their smartphone and the corresponding app, you can disable two-factor authentication for this customer in the backend under the custom fields. To do this, simply clear the "2FA Secret" field.
Does every customer have to use two-factor authentication?
No, it is up to each customer to activate two-factor authentication in their account under "Personal Data".
Can I use the plugin for the backend as well?
Yes, our two-factor authentication plugin is also designed for the backend. Each user can activate the feature in their profile.
Are there any known issues with other plugins that extend the backend?
From version 2.6.0 of our plugin (compatible with Shopware >= 6.6.2.0), compatibility issues have been significantly minimized, and currently, none are known. Unfortunately, in older Shopware versions, the administration cannot yet be extended in such a way that compatibility issues can be completely ruled out.

einfach installieren und glücklich sein,
Die Erweiterung macht was sie soll.

Als Verbsserungsvorschlag, es wäre schön wenn man als Admin einstellen könnte das eine Nutzung verpflichtend ist, z.B. mit einer Krenzzeit von 14 Tagen.

Wir haben diese Erweiterung v.a. als Schutz für das Backend im Einsatz. Funktioniert einwandfrei.

Wenn wir uns was wünschen dürften, dann wäre das, dass man wahlweise nur das Frontend, oder nur das Backend damit absichern kann.
