# ? Step-by-Step Installation & Setup Guide

# Step 1: Plugin Installation & Activation

1. Download the plugin package or install via Shopware Extension Manager (`Extension Manager -> My extensions`).

2. Click Install App and then toggle the activation switch to Active.

3. Clear the cache via CLI (`bin/console cache:clear`) or in Administration under `Settings -> System -> Caches & Indexes`.

# Step 2: Automatic Resource Creation

Upon activation, the plugin automatically creates:

- A new top-level category named "Events" under your main store navigation.

- A pre-configured CMS Page named "Event Listing Page" with the `codecom-event-listing` CMS element assigned to the "Events" category.

# Step 3: Managing Categories, Authors, and Locations

1. In Shopware Administration, open the main menu item Events.

2. Categories: Create event topics (e.g., Conferences, Workshops, Webinars) with custom thumbnail images and descriptions.

3. Authors/Speakers: Create speaker profiles with avatar media and bio descriptions.

4. Locations: Add event venue names (e.g., Exhibition Center, Online Webinar Room).

# Step 4: Creating & Publishing Events

1. Go to Events -> Events and click Add Event.

2. Fill in the required fields: Title, Slug, Start Date & Time, End Date & Time, and main Description.

3. Upload an event Header Media Image.

4. Assign related Categories, Authors, and Locations.

5. Enable or disable the Sidebar Toggle (`Show sidebar on storefront`).

6. Add Agenda Items: Build your timetable by adding time slots, session titles, speaker names, and descriptions.

7. Click Save.

# Step 5: Storefront Live Preview

1. On the event edit page in administration, click the Preview button in the top header.

2. Select your target Sales Channel Domain from the dropdown.

3. Click Preview Storefront to open the live event page in a new browser tab.

# Step 6: CMS Layout Customization (Shopping Experiences)

1. Go to Content -> Shopping Experiences and select Event Listing Page.

2. Click on the `Event Listing` element to configure settings:

- Content Tab: Enable/disable category filters, author filters, and location filters.

- Visibility Tab: Switch between Category-wise grouped view or flat grid view.

- Design Tab: Choose title, category, and location layout widths (Default vs Full-width).

3. Save the CMS layout and assign it to any category as needed.
