About the Extension

Phone number required based on shipping method

With this plugin, you can specify which shipping methods require a phone number to be provided during the checkout process.

To do this, an additional field is added to the shipping methods. If you enable the option for a shipping method, a required field for the phone number will automatically appear on the order confirmation page (`/checkout/confirm`).

The customer must provide a phone number before completing the order. The phone number entered is then saved along with the order and is available for further processing and communication with shipping providers.


Use Cases

Many shipping providers require the recipient’s phone number for certain shipping methods, such as for delivery notifications, freight shipments, or international shipments. With this plugin, you ensure that the required contact information is only requested when it is actually needed.
