Reach customers who prefer to pay with cryptocurrency. This extension connects your Shopware store with Coinbase Commerce and adds crypto payments – such as Bitcoin and Ethereum – to your checkout.

How it works

Customers choose Coinbase Commerce at checkout and pay in one of the cryptocurrencies you have enabled in your Coinbase account. Coinbase reports the payment status (pending, delayed, confirmed, failed) via webhook, and the extension updates the order in Shopware automatically.

Setup

Create a Coinbase Commerce merchant account at commerce.coinbase.com and enable the desired cryptocurrencies.
Generate an API key in Coinbase Commerce.
In Shopware go to Settings › Extensions › Coinbase, select the sales channels and enter the API key and the webhook shared secret.
Copy the webhook URL from the plugin settings into Coinbase, subscribe to the four charge events and send a test event.

Privacy

Only order amount, currency code, return URL and order ID are shared with Coinbase – no personal customer data such as names or email addresses.

Short Configuration Guide for Coinbase Commerce Integration:

Install the Plugin: In your Shopware backend, go to the plugin manager and install the Coinbase Commerce Integration plugin.
Create a Coinbase Commerce Account: Sign up at commerce.coinbase.com and complete the merchant setup.
Obtain API Credentials: From your Coinbase Commerce dashboard, generate your API keys in Coinbase and click on New API key.
Enable Cryptocurrencies: Select the cryptocurrencies in your coinbase account you want to accept and save your settings to start receiving crypto payments.

Configure Plugin Settings: In Shopware administration, navigate to the Settings > Extentions > Coinbase settings and select sales channels for them you want to enable coinbase and enter your Coinbase Commerce API key there.
Step 2: Go to Coinbase in Webhook subscriptions box click on Show shared secret and enter that in coinbase settings page.
Step 3: Copy webhook url from plugin settings page go to Coinbase in Webhook subscriptions click on Add an endpoint and paste this url there and select events by hiting Edit infront of added url there and also hit Edit in opened box:

charge:pending
charge:delayed
charge:confirmed
Step 4: Go to Coinbase and click on Edit infront of added url and click Send test select any event that you were selected and click Send test and if you gets success message then fine but if you gets 403 error there it means invalid webhook secret double check in plugin settings and in coinbase

Optional Settings: In Shopware administration navigate to Settings > Shop > Payment Methods there edit Coinbase to add png and configuration like: if you wanna give availbility of coinbase after payment cancel or failed just check/enable (allow payment change after checkout).

API keys and settings are deleted
Reinstall requires full reconfiguration

Note: Payment method auto-adds to selected sales channels during API setup. Order history keeps references.
