About the Extension

SEO-friendly FAQ page & freely placeable element for the experience worlds

FAQ plugins are many, but this one should be something very special. It is tuned for search engine optimization. For each question there is a own URL without creating a new page for it, so you are still on the same page. But not only the own URL but also a own meta-title and a own meta-description can be defined per question. The individual Url's are added to the sitemap. Thus, every single question can be indexed by Google and brings a considerable SEO advantage. The plugin has another advantage: There is no page reload and yet the URL and metadata change when the question changes. These can be opened and closed as usual . Not convinced yet? Then just test this plugin and convince yourself.

FAQ Groups and Questions Create :
In the backend under Settings->Plugins->SEO FAQ you have to create a group. Any number of questions can be assigned to this group.

FAQ-element Create:
In the worlds of experience the FAQ-element can be used and the desired group can be assigned. All questions assigned to the group are then displayed in the frontend. Please note the current situation: If an FAQ-element is created and a question is added to the group afterwards, the element is not updated automatically and has to be created again.

The SEO-optimised questions can be reached under /faq. All groups are displayed there.

Questions are no longer loaded after update (Shopware 6.4 to 6.6 or plugin version 1.2.* to 3.0.*)?

When updating from Shopware 6.4 to 6.6 plugin version 1.2.* to 3.0.*, a “null” error may occur because the CMS element can no longer be loaded. The following SQL command must be executed to solve the problem: UPDATE `cms_slot` SET slot='huebFaqEl' WHERE type='hueb-faq-element' AND slot='content';

Google Search Console shows the following error: Field “acceptedAnswer” is missing

This is correct because the questions are closed at the time Google wants to read them. As each question has its own url and is expanded when the URL is called up, Google can still read this field. As Google indexes each individual question (URL), the “acceptedAnswer” field is also read correctly by Google for each question. The error can be safely ignored. You can enter the following in Google search to check which questions have been indexed and what the whole thing looks like on google: “site:my-domain.com/faq”

html-tags doesnt work?

Maybe HTML Sanitizer is enabled and need to be disabled. Explained here: https://developer.shopware.com/docs/guides/hosting/configurations/shopware/html-sanitizer.html
