About the Extension
Show your own content in the shop – even where standard Shopware does not allow it
Do you want to display extra information on the product detail page for a specific product group, create a freely editable area in the page header, or run a Shopping Experience right inside another one? Standard Shopware has no built in way for this – you would need custom development, or the content simply cannot be placed. FlexContent changes that: you output HTML, entire Shopping Experiences, or your own Twig templates at almost any position in your shop, controlled by rules and fully managed in the backend.
More than 100 ready made positions, or completely free via marker
FlexContent already ships with more than 100 output positions: in the cart, in shipping information, in the header and footer, in the customer account, and many more. You pick the right position and drop in your content. Need more freedom? Place your own template markers in your theme exactly where you need content, without being limited to predefined positions.
Three content types, your choice
What you display is entirely up to you:
- HTML for quick, simple content blocks
- Shopping Experience with all the usual Shopware elements – even inside other Shopping Experiences
- Template as a path to your own Twig template, ideal for reusable, developer maintained building blocks
That covers everything from a short promotional notice to a complex, nested content area.
Control your content with rules
Not every piece of content is relevant for every visitor. With the Shopware Rule Builder you define exactly when and for whom something appears. FlexContent adds extra conditions to the Rule Builder:
- active controller (e.g. account, order completion, product detail)
- active category page
- active product page
- dynamic product group of the active product page
- manufacturer of the active product page
This way extra information on the product detail page only shows for a specific product group – or a message on the order completion page appears only for a certain customer group.
The FlexContent CMS element with full control
The FlexContent content element does everything the classic configuration does – right inside the Shopping Experience. You add HTML, select a Shopping Experience or a Template, define your styling, and set a display rule without leaving the Shopping Experience. That lets you build nested, rule driven content in a single place.

Part of the CMS Collection
FlexContent is one of three extensions in our CMS Collection for stronger content management. CmsElementBuilder creates custom CMS blocks, CmsTools gives you overview of category layouts and element usage. Together they cover creation, flexible placement, and control.
For optimal content management we recommend all three together.

Compatibility
Our extension is generally compatible with all our own extensions, provided that the respective functionalities do not conflict with each other.
For third-party extensions, including Shopware’s premium extensions, we cannot guarantee unrestricted compatibility. Should any issues arise in this context, our support team will be happy to assist you.
Naturally, when new Shopware versions are released, we ensure that our extension is made compatible with them in a timely manner.
Please note that our statements refer to the Shopware Community Edition with the standard responsive theme.

Do you need assistance? Our support team is at your disposal in both German and English.
To process your request as quickly as possible, please ensure that:
- The latest version of our extension, compatible with your Shopware version, is installed
- You have a valid rental or subscription license
- The issue also occurs in the Shopware standard theme and with all third-party extensions deactivated
- No changes have been made by you or third parties to the plugin code
- You have studied the manual in advance, as it already contains many helpful pieces of information
In most cases, it is necessary for us to have unrestricted access to your shop’s administration in order to analyze and fix the problem. Additionally, it may be required for you to provide us with FTP or ideally SSH credentials for your server. Please note that setting up and later removing these accesses is your responsibility.
For a smooth troubleshooting process, we recommend conducting support in a staging or development environment. This allows issues to be reproduced under controlled conditions without affecting your live shop.
