About the Extension

The PayPal express button takes customers straight from the product page or the cart to PayPal with a single click, skipping the regular checkout. In the order list, though, these orders look just like any other PayPal payment. PayPal direct label makes this path visible. As soon as the payment starts, the order automatically receives the tag you set in the configuration. Because it is a standard Shopware tag, you can filter by it, build your own processes around it in Flow Builder, use it in Rule Builder or include it in exports.

Orders where your customers choose PayPal as the payment method in the regular checkout are deliberately not tagged. The tag shows the path through the express button, not the payment method.

If a customer changes the payment method afterwards and the payment that now counts no longer goes through the express button, the extension removes the tag again. To keep a tag once it has been assigned, switch this off in the configuration.

On request, the extension adds a column of its own in the order list that marks tagged orders with "Express".

Configuration

General

Tag for PayPal express orders: Select the tag here that you want to set for PayPal Direct orders.
Remove the tag when the payment changes: Disable this option if you do not want the tag to be removed following a change in payment method.
Show a column in the order list: Enable this option to add an extra column to the order overview to flag the orders.

Existing orders

Backfill existing orders: Clicking the ‘Backfill now’ button will also check orders that have already been created and apply the tag.

This extension is highlighted as part of the Premium Partner Program and can therefore be displayed with priority in the store.
