About the Extension

TaxRules extends the Shopware Rule Builder with an action that triggers individual tax rates. Whether dropshipping, intra-Community supply, or special product groups – all special cases can be configured with just a few clicks.

What can be controlled with rules

  • Use conditions from the Rule Builder (e.g. shipping country, customer group, payment/shipping method, B2B/B2C, cart contents)
  • Define custom tax rates per rule and apply them on a category basis
  • Cover special cases such as dropshipping scenarios, intra-Community supplies, or product segments with differing taxation

As soon as an order meets the defined conditions, the app automatically applies the desired tax rate at checkout – in real time and fully transparent.

⚠️ Compatibility note

PayPal functionality requires at least version 10.8.0 of the official Shopware PayPal plugin.

Although this extension uses the official Shopware standard, some payment providers (e.g. PayPal) may process the data differently in certain cases. Before going live, it is therefore essential to verify that the provider's payment request matches the cart total in the shop in order to avoid abandoned purchases.
