About the Extension

The missing product navigation from Shopware 5 – now for Shopware 6

Moving to Shopware 6 removed one of the most-used convenience features: the previous/next navigation between the products of a category. Customers have to jump back to the listing view to reach the next product – a break in the buying journey that costs valuable conversions.

Dynamic Product Navigation solves this and brings the familiar browsing back to the product detail page. Not in a static way, but in the exact order in which the customer saw the products in the listing.

Smart instead of static: the listing context

The plugin remembers the last visited category in the session, together with the active sorting and all applied filters. The previous/next navigation therefore follows the exact path the customer actually took – sorted by price, filtered by rating or ordered by popularity. This keeps the shopping experience consistent and intuitive.

A breadcrumb that thinks along

In addition, the product breadcrumb follows the category the customer really browsed instead of an arbitrary default path. For visitors without a session context (e.g. a direct entry from Google) the deepest assigned category can optionally be used as breadcrumb anchor – ideal for clean paths and a stronger SEO signal. A blacklist lets you exclude individual categories from the breadcrumb.

Built cleanly on the Shopware standard

No template changes and no programming are required. The plugin works consistently on the Shopware standard, resulting in high compatibility with third-party plugins and themes. The navigation is fully responsive and works perfectly in the mobile view as well. The HTTP cache is correctly varied per listing context so performance stays intact.
