• New feature: Order data in a second language – with the new setting "Bestelldaten zusätzlich in dieser Sprache speichern" every order line item additionally stores product name, options and configuration values in the selected language at checkout (also for plain variant products). A globe button in the order's line item list switches between the order language and the stored language
• Bugfix: Support for the Shopware JSON_LD_DATA feature flag – the product price/currency microdata (and the configurator image-stack itemprop="image") is now suppressed while the flag is active, so no orphaned microdata remains after Shopware switches to JSON-LD; the price currency now uses the ISO code (context.currency.isoCode)

• Bugfix: In Firefox a dropdown field jumped to the neighbouring value when its values were rebuilt – the preselected option was duplicated there
• Important for existing shops: the update switches every description field to "Show in cart = off" once; newly created ones start with the switch off as well. The switch has been effective for this field type since 2.19.0 but was preset to on everywhere, so description texts ended up in the cart, the order, the order mails and the PDF documents unintentionally. Turn it back on per field to keep the text there
• Improvement: The log entry for a PHP warning inside a formula now also contains all data the formula was evaluated against (product data incl. custom fields and properties, intermediate calculations, field values, quantity, customer group) as well as the domain of the sales channel. Previously it only listed the field values, so a warning caused by a product custom field gave no hint which value was behind it

• Bugfix: Upload fields with a file type validation that lists several types (e.g. pdf, jpeg, jpg) rejected every file with "This file type is not allowed" since 2.19.0. The server-side check compared the file against the typed list as a whole instead of against its entries

• Bugfix: The uploads of an order are no longer deleted when the order is opened or its status is changed in the administration.

• Cleanup: The old, simple upload field type is no longer supported. It is no longer displayed in the store—without an error message—and the admin panel flags affected configurations in the configuration overview and on the details page. Existing orders retain their data, and the files can still be downloaded. It has been replaced by the “Multiple Upload” field
• New feature: Description fields with the “Show in Cart” toggle enabled now appear in the cart and in the order—the text is displayed exactly as it appears on the product page, without a label prefix (order emails retain the “Label: Text” format of the default templates).
• New feature: New “Loading indicator above images” option in a configuration’s basic settings. While new images are loading, a subtle overlay with a loading icon appears over the product images. The configurator skips the display during short loading times so the overlay doesn’t flash on images that have already loaded. Disabled by default.
• New feature: Customers can share their configuration via a short link. Clicking “Share Configuration” below the configurator generates a URL such as /configurator/share/…; anyone who opens it will see the configuration restored—including quantities and uploaded files. The button can be disabled in the basic settings (off by default), the validity of the links can be set in days (default 30 days), and the button and tooltip text can be customized as text modules
• New feature: The spacing between group boxes can now be set separately from the spacing between fields—under “Spacing” in the styling settings, there is a new value for this called “Spacing between groups.” Previously, a single value controlled both, so narrow fields inevitably meant groups that were too close together. Note for existing stores: The new value starts at 20px—if you had set the field spacing to 0, set the group spacing to 0 as well (this is a one-time adjustment).
• Improvement: Dynamic product images now only change once the new image stack has fully loaded. Previously, layers already present in the browser appeared immediately, while the rest trickled in—the stack built up visibly. If all layers are already in the browser, the image continues to change without any noticeable delay
• Improvement in the admin panel: The upload list at the bottom of the order is now grouped by order items—each item displays its number, the product, and the upload field only once, with the files listed next to it. If the “Quantity per File” option is enabled in the upload field, the quantity is displayed as a quantity badge (e.g., “4ד”) next to each file. For orders with multiple items, this allows downloaded files to be clearly reassigned
• Bug fix: Importing a configuration no longer fails if it contains informational text.

• New feature for dynamic images: Image groups now support sub-groups, so images can be grouped more clearly and visibility rules can be combined
• Admin improvement: The Images tab was restructured – the image placement setting now sits in the header of the top card, the images of the selected group are managed directly on the page instead of in a modal, there is a new page-level image detail view, the add buttons were moved into the card headers, and the info banner was replaced with a link to the documentation
• Admin improvement: Image groups and images can now be sorted directly in the Images tab – arrow buttons move an entry within its level, a double-click on the position number opens direct input, and when an entry is deleted the remaining positions are renumbered without gaps. Multiple images can be deleted in one step via a selection column
• Bugfix: Collapsible value groups now open automatically when the selection is loaded from the URL – for example via a shared configuration link, a bookmark, a variant switch or “Edit configuration”. The groups used to stay collapsed, so the restored selection was not visible
• Bugfix: In accordion mode the expanded field group now stays visible. Its heading used to slide out of view as soon as the previously open group above it collapsed and its height was removed – leaving the customer in the middle of the content or above it. The group now stays exactly where it was clicked and is only moved along when its content would otherwise slip below the edge of the screen or behind a sticky header
• Bugfix: Sticky/fixed header detection now also works for themes whose navigation itself sticks to the top of the viewport (for example .nav-main) – the group could previously end up behind the navigation. Sticky elements further down the page (a floating buy box, for instance) are no longer mistaken for a header
• Bugfix: In selection fields whose values are chosen in a modal window, the images now stay visible

• New feature: Image selection fields can now display a search field directly above the values (“Enable Search” in the field’s basic settings). The search finds values based on label, value, and additional attributes, as well as the file name, title, alt text, and tags of the associated image.
• Improvement: The “Assignments” tab of a configuration now offers a language selection. Product and category assignments are managed per language, so the same product can use a different configuration per language version. If a language has no assignment of its own, the one of the default language still applies
• Improvement: All storefront templates are now consistently structured into Twig blocks. Themes and plugins can override individual sections without replacing the entire file
• Improvement: The title of the remove button in repeat fields now comes from a snippet and is therefore translatable - it used to be hardcoded German
• Improvement: The text of the button customers use to add another repetition in repeat fields can now be set per field in the basic settings (“Text of the add button”). Without a custom text it stays “Add ”, which can be adjusted shop-wide via the snippets
• Improvement: The button that opens the modal window now reflects the selection state—“Select” while nothing is selected and “Change” after a value has been picked. It previously showed the field label, which is already visible right next to it. Both texts can be overridden per field in the basic settings (“Button text without selection” and “Button text after selection”) or shop-wide via the snippets
• Improvement: The saved dynamic product image is now generated on the server instead of in the customer’s browser—ensuring it is reliably available in consistent quality in the shopping cart, order, and emails. Existing orders are automatically updated
• Bugfix: When a separate cart position with its own configuration is re-configured in the cart via "Edit configuration", its price is now updated as well – previously the position showed the new selection but kept the price of the original selection in the main item
• Bugfix: When editing a cart position via "Edit configuration", the product page now shows the quantity of that position instead of always 1, and a quantity changed there is applied to the cart – calculations that take the quantity into account (selectedQuantity, e.g. for square metres or the stock) previously returned a different result on the product page than in the cart

• New feature: In the modal property filter, a property group can now be highlighted as buttons – its options appear as a full-width button row above the collapsible filter (e.g. the group "Size" with the buttons S, M, L and XL). Only one button can be active at a time, clicking the active button again clears the selection; while a button is active, the remaining filter groups only show matching properties, and "Reset filter" also clears the button selection
• New feature: New operator "reduce" in the formula editor (pro mode) – aggregates all entries of a list into a single value, e.g. the sum across all positions of a repeat field. Includes new formula examples in the documentation
• Improvement: The position field of value groups in the admin is now wider so that multi-digit position values are fully readable
• Improvement: Uninstallation now removes the plugin tables in the correct order without globally disabling the database's foreign key checks
• Bugfix: Dropdown select fields now show the price of a linked product with a quantity calculation correctly on the product page – previously the product page calculated with quantity 1 while the cart correctly used the calculated quantity (e.g. €13 on the product page but €22 in the cart). Also applies to the slider display. In addition, the dropdown display now shows the calculated quantity directly in the selected option (e.g. "4 x accessory"), matching the list display
• Bugfix: Results of global calculations and subcalculations are now inserted into simple mode formulas with the correct type (strings in quotes, boolean values as true/false) – previously, visibility formulas, for example, could fail when such a calculation returned a text or boolean value
• Bugfix: The variable suggestion for the position count of a repeat field in the formula editor now generates the correct path (fields.fieldname.value.count) – previously a broken path was suggested that made the formula invalid
• Bugfix: Fixed an error when adding a product to an order in the admin as of Shopware 6.7.11 (message "Unknown feature V6_8_0") – a deprecated Shopware call was replaced with the current one

• Bugfix: Additional products (separate cart line items) from multiple-selection fields are now added to the cart at the correct price when price entry is configured as "net" – previously VAT was applied twice (e.g. €28.95 on the product page became €35.03 in the cart)
• Bugfix: Surcharges of selection options maintained in the admin with a comma as decimal separator (e.g. "4,32") are now displayed exactly in the storefront – previously the display truncated the decimals ("+ €4.00") while the price calculation already used the exact value
• Bugfix: Corrected the strike price display for selected surcharges – surcharges have no strike price of their own and are now added 1:1 to the strike price instead of being incorrectly scaled up by the product's discount (e.g. a product with a €400 price, €500 strike price and a €100 surcharge previously showed €625 instead of €600). The savings display ("% saved") is now recalculated live with every selection
• Bugfix: The operator validation in the formula editor (pro mode) no longer reports false warnings for saved formulas with comparison operators (e.g. < or >) – genuine operator typos are still detected

• Bugfix: The dynamically generated configuration image is now reliably preserved after a quantity change in the cart – customers see their individually configured product consistently from the cart through checkout to the order. Previously, the changed line item fell back to the default product image
• Bugfix: Fixed a 500 error on the checkout confirm page as of Shopware 6.7.12 when a checkout gateway app (e.g. Shopware Payments) is active – the customer group names stored internally were not API-serializable

• New feature: New formula variables "Available stock" (product.availableStock) and "Restock time" (product.restockTime) are now available in all calculations as well as in the variable selection in the admin – e.g. for delivery-time formulas that compare the calculated material consumption with the stock level
• New feature: Properties (property groups and options) can now be given a language-independent technical name that is used as the formula variable (product.properties.). This keeps configurator formulas stable even when a property is renamed or an additional language is added. The technical name is maintained via the "neonlines Konfigurator" custom field set directly on the Shopware property pages
• New feature: The formula editor (pro mode) now detects unknown or misspelled operators (e.g. "=" instead of "==") and points them out directly – making formulas even easier and less error-prone to write

With version 2.0, the configurator takes the user experience in the admin area to a new level. The completely modernized and redesigned interface enables even faster, more intuitive and more efficient creation of configurations.

The highlights of version 2.0:

Styling options in the admin area The configurator can now be flexibly adapted to the corporate design of the store. Colors, fonts, spacing and more can be configured individually - on three levels: globally for the entire store, specifically for an individual configuration or specifically for individual fields and groups.

Dynamic content with configurator values Configurator values can now be used directly in labels, description texts, info texts and validation messages. This enables even more individual and user-friendly configuration experiences.

Global calculations Complex calculations can now be created centrally and reused in any number of configurations. Ideal for central pricing logic or recurring calculation rules.

Configurator in modal window The configuration can now optionally be displayed in a modal window - for seamless integration into existing page layouts.

New field types Heading & description textWith the new field types, configurations can be structured even more clearly and visually enhanced.

Important: Version 2.0 is available from Shopware 6.7.

Update information:

The previous light layout mode is no longer available. To set the light mode yourself, the following steps are necessary. Call up the global styling tab, then make the following settings:

1. configurator box > background > background color: transparent

   2nd Configurator box > Frame > Frame thickness: 0

3. configurator box > Frame > Inner spacing (all fields)> 0

In addition, configurations with hidden labels must be adjusted. This setting can also be found in the new style area, in the “Fields” subgroup

• Bugfix: Country-specific tax rates (e.g. 8.1 % for Switzerland on a 19 % tax) are now respected in the cart for configurations with price enter mode "net" or "gross". Previously the product price was converted with the base tax rate and converted back with the country rate – a product priced at CHF 26.06 showed up in the cart as CHF 23.67. Separate and child positions from select fields were affected as well
