Provide storefront data without writing your own PHP extension
You are designing a storefront and keep running into the same limit: product properties, individual reviews or tags are not readily available in the listing, and beyond the main, service and footer navigation there are no further menus. Solving this usually means writing your own PHP extensions and maintaining them with every update. That costs time you would rather spend on design and content.
ToolKit takes this work off your hands. The free plugin provides the missing data as Twig variables and a Twig function. In the administration you decide which function is active. In your theme you output the data exactly the way your design needs it.
What ToolKit can do for you
Additional navigations: If the main, service and footer navigation are not enough, you create further navigations in the administration. You choose a technical name, the entry category and the number of levels, and assign the navigation to a sales channel. This suits landing page menus, sidebars or meta navigations. If needed, you control the sorting of the entries directly in the template.
Properties in the product listing: For each property you decide whether it is available in the listing. You can also define which properties of a product's variants are loaded. The properties are grouped by property group and also work in the product slider. This way you show color, material or size right in the product box.
Reviews in the product listing: You decide whether no reviews, a specific number or all reviews of a product are provided, and whether the review average is loaded as well. This builds customer trust right in the overview.
Tags for categories and products: You can use your internal tags in the storefront too, for example for badges like "New" or "Bestseller". Category tags and product tags are switched on separately.
Additional fields for property values: For every property value you store three text fields, one text area and one HTML field. Use them for icons, short texts or detailed extra information and output them on the product detail page.
Who is ToolKit for?
ToolKit is made for agencies, theme developers and merchants who customize their theme themselves. The plugin delivers the data, you decide how it looks. ToolKit provides the necessary Twig variables, which you integrate into your own theme. You will find the guide with ready-made examples in the documentation. You switch on each function individually, functions you do not need stay off and cost no loading time.
Up and running in three steps
- Install ToolKit via the extension manager and activate the plugin.
- In the plugin configuration, choose the functions you need, for example the display of reviews or the tags of categories.
- Output the provided data in your theme. For each function the documentation has an example you can copy and adapt to your design.
This takes you straight from idea to finished display and you keep full control over markup and design.
Open source and free
ToolKit is released under an open-source license and is free of charge. Developers can contribute directly to its further development via our repository.

Compatibility
Our extension is generally compatible with all our own extensions, provided that the respective functionalities do not conflict with each other.
For third-party extensions, including Shopware’s premium extensions, we cannot guarantee unrestricted compatibility. Should any issues arise in this context, our support team will be happy to assist you.
Naturally, when new Shopware versions are released, we ensure that our extension is made compatible with them in a timely manner.
Please note that our statements refer to the Shopware Community Edition with the standard responsive theme.

To process your request as quickly as possible, please ensure that:
- The latest version of our extension, compatible with your Shopware version, is installed
- You have a valid rental or subscription license
- The issue also occurs in the Shopware standard theme and with all third-party extensions deactivated
- No changes have been made by you or third parties to the plugin code
- You have studied the manual in advance, as it already contains many helpful pieces of information
In most cases, it is necessary for us to have unrestricted access to your shop’s administration in order to analyze and fix the problem. Additionally, it may be required for you to provide us with FTP or ideally SSH credentials for your server. Please note that setting up and later removing these accesses is your responsibility.
For a smooth troubleshooting process, we recommend conducting support in a staging or development environment. This allows issues to be reproduced under controlled conditions without affecting your live shop.
