Last but not least, freight costs in online shops with bulky and heavy products determine whether customers buy here or not. The transparent display of the total weight of all items in the shopping cart is therefore helpful for the customer in order to keep an eye on his shipping costs from the outset and saves you as the shop operator unnecessary discussions about excessive freight costs.
The BasketWeight plugin is the solution. It automatically adds up the weights of the individual items in the shopping cart to a total weight and displays this below the item list in the shopping cart. Your customer can use this to determine the applicable freight costs from your shipping conditions.
A prerequisite for a clean functioning is that the article weight (also of product variants, e.g. different sizes) has been accurately maintained in the article master data. It is up to you whether you specify the weight with or without packaging. If no value is stored for an article, this is calculated with 0 kg.
If the functionalities are not mutually exclusive, we can guarantee compatibility of this plugin with all of our own plugins. Compatibility with third-party plugins, for which For example, we cannot guarantee that Shopware's premium plugins count. If there are any problems, our support will be happy to help you.
